Job Summary
We are looking for a seasoned Production Manager to lead daily shop floor activities and enhance production efficiency within our aluminum extrusion facility.
This position encompasses a leadership role dedicated to achieving targets, refining processes, and maintaining rigorous compliance with safety and quality standards.
Oversee and execute core duties with precision, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and operational standards. Lead critical initiatives, including strategic planning, performance monitoring, and process optimization, while fostering collaboration across departments. Manage stakeholder relationships, address challenges proactively, and uphold accountability for outcomes. Develop and implement policies to enhance efficiency, compliance, and innovation within the team. Additionally, analyze data to drive informed decision-making and report progress to leadership on key metrics.
Responsible for leading and managing daily production activities across various shifts.
Implement Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) and lean manufacturing methodologies to reduce downtime and enhance equipment efficiency to optimal levels.
Strive to meet production targets efficiently by minimizing waste and lowering unit costs.
Oversee the organization of shift schedules, workforce distribution, and the optimization of production line efficiency.
Ensure adherence to rigorous safety, quality, and maintenance protocols throughout all shop floor operations.
Collaborate closely with the maintenance, quality assurance, logistics, and planning teams to ensure seamless operations and alignment across all departments.
Spearhead ongoing enhancement initiatives while ensuring compliance with established standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Offer guidance and support to operators through training and mentorship initiatives, fostering the development of their skills, optimizing performance levels, and reinforcing accountability measures.
Maintain accurate documentation, compile production reports, and monitor performance dashboards to ensure data integrity and operational transparency.
Monitor and document raw material usage while contributing to precise inventory control.
Seeking a candidate with a minimum of three years of experience in a related field, along with a bachelor’s degree in a pertinent discipline. Proficiency in industry-standard software and tools is essential, and familiarity with current regulations or compliance standards is highly valued. Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities are required, as well as the ability to work both independently and collaboratively. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are necessary to convey complex information clearly. Prior experience in project management or leadership roles is preferred but not mandatory.
A Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or a closely related technical discipline is required.
A minimum of five years of hands-on experience in production supervision or plant operations is required, with a preference for candidates with a manufacturing background.
Achieved measurable improvements in optimization, cost reduction, and operational efficiency through systematic process enhancements.
Proficiency in implementing Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), 5S methodologies, and other lean manufacturing techniques is required.
Accomplished leadership, adept team facilitation, and exceptional communication capabilities are essential.
Proficient in interpreting production data to derive meaningful insights and implement strategic, data-driven decisions that enhance operational efficiency and productivity.
Demonstrated expertise in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems, with a particular advantage for candidates with prior experience in Odor.
Strong preference is given to candidates who are prepared to reside on-site in Anna.
