What You’ll Own
Routine and random site inspections are conducted to proactively identify potential hazards, preventing incidents before they arise.
Responsible for establishing and maintaining robust risk assessments, method statements, and permit-to-work systems, ensuring their effective implementation and strict adherence.
Conduct comprehensive root-cause analyses for all incidents and near-miss occurrences to identify underlying factors and prevent recurrence.
Delivering regular Toolbox Talks and mandatory site safety inductions on a daily or weekly basis forms a key component of the role.
Ensuring strict adherence to PPE protocols for every individual on-site, with no allowances for exceptions.
Demonstrated expertise in comprehensive emergency preparedness, encompassing the development and implementation of response strategies, regular drill execution, and robust first aid capabilities.
To uphold adherence to Nigerian federal and local construction safety regulations.
Possesses the power to immediately cease any work deemed unsafe on the premises.
What We’re Looking For
A minimum of five years of hands-on Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) experience in active construction or real estate development environments is required.
A valid BOSH Certificate or Diploma is an essential requirement for this role.
A valid OSHA 30-Hour Construction Card is mandatory for this position.
Possesses comprehensive expertise in Nigerian construction safety regulations and internationally recognized HSE frameworks.
Membership in ISP offers distinct advantages for prospective candidates.
HND or B.Sc. in Engineering, Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, or a closely related discipline is required.
