This full-time, on-site Radiographer position is located in Lagos. The Radiographer will conduct diagnostic imaging procedures, such as X-rays and other radiologic techniques, in alignment with physician orders and established protocols. Key duties include patient preparation and positioning, operation of radiologic equipment, enhancement of image quality, and maintenance of precise imaging records and documentation. The role requires adherence to rigorous radiation safety measures, routine equipment inspection and maintenance, and coordination with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to facilitate prompt diagnosis and treatment. Additionally, the Radiographer will educate patients and their families about procedures, enforce infection prevention protocols, and comply with all hospital policies and regulatory standards.

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent professional experience is required. Proficiency in specific software or tools may be necessary. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are essential. Excellent communication abilities, both written and verbal, are needed. Prior to work experience in a similar role is preferred. Familiarity with industry standards and best practices is advantageous. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team is crucial. Attention to detail and organizational skills are highly valued.

Proven expertise in Radiology and Radiologic Technology, coupled with practical experience in performing diagnostic imaging procedures.

Proven knowledge of radiation principles and safety protocols, with expertise in the proper operation of imaging equipment and strict adherence to dose-reduction measures.

A solid understanding of medical principles as they relate to radiographic procedures, encompassing human anatomy, physiology, and frequently encountered acute and surgical conditions, is essential.

A professionally recognized qualification or diploma in Radiography or Radiologic Technology from an accredited educational institution is required.

Professional certification or eligibility for license with the pertinent regulatory authority is required.

Professional experience in a hospital or acute care facility is required, with a preference for roles within multi-specialty or critical care departments.

Skilled in operating digital imaging systems, including CR/DR and PACS, along with fundamental computer applications for documentation and reporting.

Demonstrates meticulous attention to detail, adherence to established protocols, and a steadfast commitment to maintaining patient safety and confidentiality.

Effective communication and strong interpersonal abilities are essential to engage with patients from varied backgrounds and to seamlessly collaborate within multidisciplinary teams.

Must be available to work rotating shifts, which may include evenings, weekends, and public holidays, to meet operational demands.
