The Macallan Brand Ambassador also plays a key role in driving major brand initiatives and contributes to the achievement of targeted portfolio performance objectives.
This position requires frequent event hosting—including wine tastings and exclusive parties—as well as regional and national travel, particularly to Scotland, to collaborate with the global brand and distillery teams and facilitate high-profile influencer visits.
You will be responsible for managing key operational tasks, ensuring adherence to established protocols, and contributing to the strategic objectives of the organization. This role involves overseeing daily activities, coordinating with cross-functional teams, and maintaining compliance with regulatory standards. As the Brand Ambassador for The Macallan in Nigeria, your primary role involves embodying the brand’s essence across Lagos while driving consumer engagement, educating key audiences, and fostering relationships with influencers, media outlets, and both internal and external stakeholders.
You will be responsible for, among other duties and in no particular order, the following:
Consumer interaction and engagement remain central to this role, which requires a keen focus on building and maintaining strong relationships with end-users. The position demands proficiency in developing strategies that enhance user experience and satisfaction while driving brand loyalty through effective communication and targeted initiatives.
Serving as the local expert on The Macallan brand and the whisky category, you will lead whisky tastings and curate distinctive brand engagements to deepen customer connections and showcase the brand’s heritage.
Supporting the strategic planning and delivery of experiential events, while also enhancing The Macallan’s internal and consumer engagement platforms, constitutes a key responsibility of this role.
Convene with venue management, culinary teams, and other key stakeholders in advance of events to verify adherence to established marketing protocols across all customer interactions.
Serving as The Macallan’s ambassador at high-profile media engagements and consumer-focused events.
Expertly cultivates relationships with influencers and media professionals to amplify brand visibility and engagement, identifying and collaborating with key industry figures to secure impactful partnerships and strategic placements that align with brand objectives.
Engaging influencers and media outlets within their primary metropolitan area is a critical responsibility of this role.
Developing comprehensive influencer networks comprising collectors and professional groups, meticulously documented within The Macallan’s CRM tool, is essential to this role.
Elevate The Macallan’s social media presence by strictly following established brand guidelines and strategic content plans across all social channels.
Partnering with retained agencies to cultivate and strengthen connections with key media outlets and influential figures.
Ensure comprehensive briefings are provided to all influencers and agencies regarding the Eddington marketing code to prevent any potential breaches during all activities.
Trade Facing:
Delivering tailored educational initiatives and fostering heightened brand trust among key trade accounts, cultivating brand ambassadors, and maintaining a prominent position in their consideration.
Collaboratively identifying opportunities and proposing necessary changes are essential aspects of this role.
Cultivating strong relationships and earning the trust of key stakeholders—including beverage directors, procurement specialists, and bar personnel—is essential to the role.
Crafting and showcasing The Macallan servings and rituals to emphasize Prestige accounts.
Collaborating closely with The Macallan Marketing and Education teams, I will design and execute diverse marketing initiatives and communications strategies that align with the brand’s core identity and strategic goals.
The Macallan requires the development of essential brand-building initiatives in partnership with regional commercial teams.
They are responsible for overseeing and optimizing the annual Travel & Expense and activation budget to ensure its most effective and efficient utilization.
Ensure clear and effective communication by providing regular updates and reports to stakeholders and team members. Facilitate transparent dialogue across departments to align on project goals and progress. Maintain documentation of key discussions and decisions to support accountability and continuity.
The incumbent will prepare data inputs for Eddington reports, which are essential for facilitating the SBM’s monthly reporting obligations.
Prepare for monthly presentations detailing executed activities during both internal and external business calls.

A bachelor’s degree in Marketing or a closely related field is required.
A minimum of five years of hands-on experience in experiential marketing, luxury brand sales and marketing, hospitality, premium spirits, or high-end sales is required.
Professional candidates will possess a proven track record collaborating with prestigious brands across the luxury sector, including wine and spirits, art, and exotic automobiles, alongside their discerning clientele.
Foster relationships with influential communities within key markets to enhance brand visibility and engagement.
Demonstrated ability to engage with high-net-worth individuals and move within prestigious social networks.
A solid grasp of brand strategy, the luxury sector, and the critical factors that propel success in both areas.
