Install, commission, and perform maintenance on refrigeration and air conditioning systems, including split units, VRF/VRV systems, chillers, and industrial cooling units.
Conduct scheduled preventive maintenance tasks on HVAC/R systems to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
Diagnose and resolve issues pertaining to electrical systems, mechanical components, and refrigerant circuits to ensure optimal functionality and efficiency.
Perform repairs and install new parts, including compressors, condensers, evaporators, control boards, and other components as needed.
Ensure the safe handling of refrigerants by performing recovery, recycling, and recharging procedures in compliance with established regulations.
Maintain precise service documentation and provide clients with guidance on energy efficiency measures.
Handle emergency breakdown calls promptly and efficiently, ensuring swift assistance to affected individuals.
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field required, with a minimum of 3 years of professional experience, or an equivalent combination of training and experience. Proficiency in key industry tools and software is essential. Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills are critical. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment is a must. Knowledge of industry regulations and standards is required, along with a commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
Holders of an OND, Trade Test Certificate, or an equivalent qualification in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning, Mechanical Engineering, or a closely related discipline are required for this position.
3–4 years of practical experience in research and analysis within the HVAC industry.
Demonstrates a comprehensive understanding of HVAC principles and the functionality of related systems.
Requires expertise in the management of refrigerants and the precise process of gas charging, ensuring adherence to environmental regulations and safety protocols throughout all procedures.
Proficient in interpreting wiring diagrams and technical schematics with precision and clarity.
Accomplished problem-solving abilities, strong verbal and written communication skills, and a proven capacity for effective collaboration within cross-functional teams.
City & Guilds, NAB TEB, or any other reputable HVAC/R certification will be considered an asset for this role.
