As a Senior Systems Developer, key responsibilities involve leading and overseeing critical aspects of system development, ensuring alignment with technical standards and business objectives. This role demands expertise in designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable and high-performance systems while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative solutions. Additionally, the position requires mentoring junior developers, conducting thorough code reviews, and optimizing existing architectures to enhance efficiency and reliability.
Design, build, and sustain application and data integrations across Christian Aid’s systems leveraging Microsoft technologies, such as .NET, C, Power Automate, SKIS, and APIs.
Maintain and enhance Christian Aid’s application and integration architecture, identifying opportunities to automate processes while enhancing reliability, performance, and data quality.
Develop and enforce standardized best practices for system and data integration across applications, leveraging critical thinking to enhance existing solutions.
Monitor integration workflows, address errors and job interruptions, and establish proactive enhancements to mitigate future issues.
Investigate issues related to systems and data, perform comprehensive root cause analysis, and develop and execute mitigating actions to ensure problems do not recur.
Collaborate effectively with internal departments and external vendors to address challenges and ensure superior integration results.
Offer expert technical consultation and support to colleagues and project teams, leveraging specialized knowledge to enhance system design and ensure successful delivery.
Craft and update accurate technical documentation as needed, and facilitate the seamless transition of support processes into live service when necessary.
About you
You will possess extensive hands-on experience in designing and implementing solutions with Microsoft Dynamics and the Power Platform, complemented by an appropriate professional qualification. Your expertise includes Dynamics customization and extension, data modeling, integrations and APIs, as well as SQL Server, while also demonstrating proficiency in contemporary software engineering methodologies such as source control, automated testing, code review, and CI/CD.
You thrive in scenarios where you must assume responsibility for intricate projects amid limited resources, enhancing both quality and reliability while engaging directly with users to convert their actual needs into practical solutions.
