Job Summary
The Transformation Manager serves as the operational backbone within ARM’s Strategy & Transformation division, tasked with embedding disciplined delivery practices, rigorous analytical problem-solving, and direct execution support into the CEO-endorsed transformation programs critical to ARM’s FY2026 executive scorecard. This position is distinctly non-project management in nature, requiring the incumbent to identify execution impediments, collaborate with business unit teams to develop pragmatic solutions, navigate organizational resistance, and ensure accountability for delivery among business unit partners—all without formal line authority. Candidates must demonstrate a proven ability to craft high-caliber strategic recommendations, as well as a track record of successfully implementing change within a commercial enterprise, backed by tangible evidence of overcoming real-world challenges.

Key Relationships
As the Head of Strategy & Transformation, this role involves overseeing line management responsibilities while defining and prioritizing transformation initiatives across the organization. Additionally, the position requires evaluating and refining the transformation portfolio to ensure alignment with strategic objectives and business goals.
BU Managing Directors and initiative sponsors serve as the principal collaborators on active initiatives, with the position functioning as the CEO’s operational counterpart within projects owned by the business unit.
The BU initiative leads and workstream owners serve as the primary operational contacts responsible for the ongoing execution and delivery of the initiative.
Seasoned Group Chief Executive Officer responsible for providing timely periodic updates on the status of the transformation portfolio, including the identification and escalation of any genuinely intractable challenges.
Colleagues on the strategy team play a pivotal role in bridging the gap between strategic vision and the practical implementation of transformative initiatives.
We are seeking a highly motivated individual to oversee and execute a range of essential tasks, ensuring seamless operations and adherence to established protocols. Key duties include managing daily workflows, coordinating cross-functional teams, and maintaining high standards of accuracy and efficiency. The role demands meticulous attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to prioritize competing demands in a fast-paced environment. Additionally, the position requires proactive problem-solving, clear communication, and a commitment to fostering collaborative relationships across departments.
Leading the delivery of transformation initiatives, the role entails owning the execution rigor for a CEO-prioritized subset of business unit-led transformation efforts. This involves organizing the initiative into defined workstreams, setting clear milestones, and maintaining a consistent tracking cadence, while proactively identifying and resolving execution bottlenecks as they arise. Although the business unit retains ownership of the initiative, the position is responsible for ensuring the quality and pace of execution discipline is upheld throughout the process.
The role involves addressing challenges and designing solutions. Upon encountering a stalled initiative, the successful candidate identifies the underlying issue—be it capability gaps, resource constraints, political factors, or design flaws—and collaborates with business unit stakeholders to develop a viable solution pathway. This demands high-level problem structuring expertise, executed within an operational context where the individual lacks direct authority and cannot simply propose recommendations; instead, they must execute and deliver results.
Engagement and accountability with business units are paramount. Collaborate directly with initiative leads and sponsors within the business units to sustain progress. Ensure BU counterparts meet their commitments regarding timelines, data provision, and resource allocation, escalating issues only after exhausting organic solutions. The individual’s influence stems from the caliber of their contributions and the soundness of their judgment, rather than hierarchical position.
The role involves overseeing and reporting on the transformation portfolio to ensure transparency and accountability. You will provide an accurate assessment of each initiative’s status—identifying those progressing as planned, those deviating from expectations, and those requiring escalation or termination. Portfolio updates must be prepared for both the Head of Strategy & Transformation and executive leadership, including CEO-level presentations. A key expectation is the proactive identification of issues, with honest communication of challenges rather than overly optimistic projections.
Drive transformation through structured yet pragmatic approaches, tailoring methodologies such as initiative charters, milestone frameworks, risk and dependency tracking, and benefits realization to align with ARM’s operational environment. Focus on adopting streamlined standards that accelerate outcomes rather than generating superfluous documentation, ensuring transformation efforts remain efficient and impactful.
Capability transfer involves cultivating and embedding transformation execution skills within business unit teams for sustained growth. The ultimate benchmark for success is not the individual’s indispensability, but rather the measurable enhancement of each BU’s capacity to independently implement change following collaboration.
Success Criteria
Over the course of a 12-month period, the individual is anticipated to achieve the following:
Achieved significant advancements across every transformation initiative highlighted by the CEO, as validated by Business Unit sponsors regarding the excellence of the execution support provided.
Developed and implemented a robust portfolio tracking and reporting framework, which was formally endorsed by both the Head of Strategy & Transformation and the CEO.
Recognized as a trusted execution partner by BU MDs and initiative sponsors, evidenced by the exceptional quality of engagement with business units rather than solely by the quantity of deliverables generated.
Developed a collaborative partnership with the Transformation Analyst to facilitate the delegation of workstream-level tasks.
