The Senior Audit Associate will execute designated internal audit projects aligned with the internal audit plan sanctioned by the audit committee.
Oversee and execute a comprehensive range of tasks aligned with the role’s core objectives, ensuring adherence to established protocols and standards. Examine records, reports, operating practices, and documentation to verify adherence to established internal control procedures.
Ensures adherence to established company policies and procedures by identifying and documenting any deviations, and promptly escalating noncompliance issues as required.
Suggest enhancements to existing processes and policies to drive greater efficiency and compliance.
Examine expense reports, payment records, and purchase orders to verify the accuracy and legitimacy of all transactions.
Execute designated audit procedures, which include conducting inspections, making observations, obtaining confirmations, performing recalculations, and executing reperformances, in accordance with established audit protocols.
Conduct unannounced inspections at depots and stations to perform on-the-spot audits, verify inventory levels, and reconcile cash counts.
To develop comprehensive working paper documentation that substantiates the audit procedures executed and the conclusions drawn for the designated audit review.
Execute any additional tasks or responsibilities as assigned from time to time.

REQUIREMENTS
We seek candidates with at least five years of hands-on experience in audit and risk management.
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is required, along with membership in the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN).
