Oversee a range of critical duties encompassing strategic planning, operational execution, and performance evaluation to ensure organizational objectives are met efficiently. Develop and implement policies, procedures, and best practices to enhance productivity, quality, and compliance with industry standards. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align projects with company goals, fostering innovation and continuous improvement. The Fund Transfer Officer is tasked with a range of responsibilities, including but not limited to overseeing and executing fund transfer operations with precision and efficiency. This role demands meticulous attention to detail to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and internal policies while facilitating seamless transaction processing. Additionally, the incumbent will liaise with internal teams and external stakeholders to resolve discrepancies, verify transaction accuracy, and mitigate potential risks associated with fund movements. Strong analytical skills and proficiency in financial systems are essential to support the timely and secure processing of transfers.

Execute and finalize fund transfers with precision, ensuring accurate and timely settlement while maintaining compliance with established financial protocols and regulatory standards.

Handle daily domestic and international fund transfers, encompassing SWIFT MT103/MT202 transactions, local ACH payments, real-time payment systems, and online banking platforms.

Before submitting, cross-reference payment instructions with the corresponding supporting documents, such as invoices, disbursement memos, facility letters, or client authorizations, to ensure accuracy.

Ensure all transfers comply with prescribed approval workflows, value dating rules, and available balance checks.

Oversee incoming and outgoing payments, identifying any delays, rejections, or discrepancies and promptly reporting them to the supervisor.

Ensure meticulous documentation of every transfer instruction, approval, and corresponding transaction reference.

Conduct thorough compliance reviews and anti-money laundering (AML) and counter-financing of terrorism (CFT) assessments to ensure adherence to regulatory standards and internal policies.

Thoroughly review all fund transfer instructions by cross-referencing them with internal watch lists, sanctions lists, and registers of prohibited entities prior to processing.

Promptly notify the Compliance Officer or Team Lead of any transactions that appear suspicious, mismatched, or pose a significant risk without delay.

Verify that all beneficiary and sender information is fully provided, precise, and adheres to applicable regulatory standards.

Maintain meticulously organized logs documenting screening results, approvals, and any reasons for overrides to ensure compliance with audit standards.

Bank Portal and System Management encompasses the oversight, maintenance, and optimization of digital platforms and backend infrastructure that support banking operations, ensuring seamless functionality, security, and reliability. This role involves configuring, monitoring, and troubleshooting core banking systems, databases, and user interfaces to align with organizational policies and industry standards. Responsibilities include implementing system updates, managing access controls, resolving technical issues, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance performance and user experience. Candidates must possess a degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, along with proficiency in banking software, database management (e.g., SQL), and cybersecurity best practices. Prior experience in IT support, system administration, or a comparable role within the financial sector is highly preferred.

Utilize banking portals, treasury platforms, or core banking applications to execute and approve transfers within the assigned authority limits.

Ensure the accuracy and integrity of counterparty bank details by verifying and updating information such as SWIFT/BIC codes, IBANs, intermediary bank routing details, and local clearing codes.

Troubleshoot common portal issues, including failed login attempts, session timeouts, and file upload errors, and escalate any unresolved matters to IT or bank support as needed.

Responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring the reconciliation of accounts, including verifying and balancing transactions to confirm their accuracy and completeness. This role involves meticulously tracking discrepancies, investigating variances, and promptly resolving any irregularities to uphold financial integrity. Additionally, the position requires systematic documentation of all financial activities to support audits, reporting, and compliance with regulatory standards. Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and proficiency in accounting software are essential to perform these duties effectively.

Prepare outgoing transfers on a daily basis and reconcile them with corresponding bank statements, transaction reports, and internal ledger entries to ensure accuracy and consistency.

Compile daily transfer logs, detailing the aggregate transaction value processed, transaction volume, incurred fees, and any outstanding items.

Provide support to the finance and treasury departments in analyzing unreconciled, aged, or returned transactions to identify discrepancies and resolve outstanding issues.

Maintain a well-structured and easily retrievable digital filing system for all transfer instructions, approvals, and bank confirmations.

Report responsibilities include managing and escalating issues as necessary to ensure timely resolution and adherence to established protocols. The incumbent will monitor reports, identify discrepancies or anomalies, and initiate appropriate escalation procedures when required to maintain operational integrity and compliance standards.

Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly activity reports to the Team Lead or Treasury Manager, emphasizing processing volumes, exceptions, and rejected transfers for thorough review.

Quickly notify senior management of any system errors, breaches in limits, or compliance alerts.

Identify and communicate any operational deficiencies or persistent challenges to facilitate ongoing enhancements.

Seeking candidates with a Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant field and a minimum of three years of professional experience. Strong analytical skills and proficiency in data analysis tools are required. Experience with project management methodologies is a plus. The ideal applicant will have excellent communication abilities and the capacity to work both independently and collaboratively.

A Bachelor’s Degree or higher in finance, accounting, banking and finance, economics, business administration, or a closely related field is required.

With a minimum of two years up to four years of hands-on experience in payment operations, fund transfer processing, treasury operations, or settlement functions within a banking institution, financial services company, or corporate treasury division, you will have developed a strong foundation in financial transaction management and reconciliation processes.

Proven expertise in managing SWIFT payment transactions, local clearing mechanisms, and digital banking platforms is essential.

Demonstrates a solid understanding of Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Countering the Financing of Terrorism (CFT) payment screening protocols, along with proficiency in sanctions list verification processes.

Requires strong competency in Microsoft Excel, including the ability to perform reconciliations, apply fundamental formulas, and efficiently sort or filter data, as well as prepare payment files.
