Job Purpose

The Project Management Officer plays a pivotal role in facilitating the planning, execution, monitoring, and reporting of both strategic and operational projects throughout the organization.

This position guarantees projects are completed within the defined scope, budget, and schedule while complying with established governance standards and contributing to the ongoing enhancement of the Project Management Office (PMO) framework.

Oversee the primary duties of the position, which encompass a range of critical tasks including managing project timelines, coordinating team efforts, and ensuring adherence to organizational standards. Facilitate effective communication among stakeholders to enhance collaboration and resolve potential conflicts. Monitor progress regularly to identify any deviations from the plan and implement corrective measures promptly. Additionally, prepare comprehensive reports to provide insights into performance metrics and operational efficiency. Maintain strict compliance with industry regulations and company policies to mitigate risks and uphold operational integrity.

Oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of projects from inception to completion, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives, timelines, and budgetary constraints. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail are essential to effectively evaluate project data and communicate findings clearly.

Monitor project advancement, track key milestones, identify potential risks, and assess interdependencies throughout the project lifecycle.

Compiling regular updates on project progress and designing management dashboards are essential duties for this role.

Ensure meticulous maintenance of project records and documentation to uphold accuracy and integrity.

Governance and risk management encompass establishing and maintaining effective frameworks to oversee organizational activities, ensure compliance with regulatory standards, and mitigate potential risks. This role involves developing policies and procedures to guide decision-making, monitoring adherence to governance principles, and identifying emerging risks that may impact the organization’s strategic objectives. Additionally, it requires collaborating with senior leadership to align governance practices with business goals, conducting regular audits to assess the effectiveness of risk controls, and implementing corrective actions to address any deficiencies. Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate complex regulatory requirements clearly are essential for success in this position.

Responsibilities include conducting research, preparing presentations, and ensuring alignment between portfolio objectives and organizational goals. The position requires strong analytical skills, proficiency in financial modeling, and the ability to communicate insights effectively. Candidates should possess experience in strategic planning, portfolio management, or related fields, along with a keen understanding of data-driven decision-making.

Support the oversight and administration of the Group’s project portfolio along with fulfilling all associated reporting obligations.

Assist in the establishment of project prioritization frameworks and strategic alignment processes to ensure organizational objectives are met efficiently.

Deliver comprehensive analysis and actionable insights to inform strategic decision-making processes.

Streamline and enhance operational efficiency by identifying, analyzing, and implementing process improvements. Evaluate current workflows to pinpoint inefficiencies, bottlenecks, or redundancies, and develop data-driven solutions to optimize productivity. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless implementation of changes, measure performance outcomes, and sustain long-term gains. Utilize methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, or Agile to drive continuous improvement initiatives. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess impact and refine strategies as needed.

Enhance PMO processes, templates, and tools to drive continuous improvement and operational excellence.

Foster an environment of ongoing enhancement and adherence to leading project management methodologies.

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field required. Minimum of five years of professional experience in software development, with proficiency in Java, Python, or C++. Strong problem-solving skills and experience with agile methodologies are essential. Familiarity with cloud platforms, such as AWS or Azure, and version control systems like Git is preferred. Excellent communication abilities for collaboration with cross-functional teams are necessary.

A bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Economics, Finance, Computer Science, or a related discipline is required.

Seeking candidates with a minimum of five to seven years of hands-on experience in Project Management, Process Improvement, Strategy Execution, Consulting, or a closely related field.

A background in Financial Services would be beneficial.

A professional advantage would be the possession of certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, CAP, or equivalent credentials.
