The Interface & Structured Finance Manager serves as the primary liaison between the company and key financial institutions, including the Africa Export Import Bank (Afraid) and similar organizations. This role is tasked with cultivating and sustaining robust partnerships with these banking entities, ensuring alignment and fostering collaborative relationships to drive optimal performance outcomes. Additionally, the position involves identifying and mitigating technical and commercial risks within the defined scope of work while collaborating closely with planning and technical teams to maintain operational excellence.

Job Details

Develop and implement strategic initiatives to enhance collaboration and communication with financial institutions, cultivating strong, mutually beneficial partnerships through professional and proactive engagement.

As the designated Afraid Intra-African Trade Champion, oversee and execute the administrative and managerial duties associated with the Oiler Group of Companies’ roles and responsibilities, ensuring alignment with Afraid’s strategic objectives and intra-African trade initiatives.

Leverage a thorough understanding of the Oiler Group’s range of tools provided through the Intra-African Trade Initiative Products and Programs.

Develop and uphold accurate, standardized documentation and periodic reports for senior leadership and relevant stakeholders, highlighting critical concerns, solutions, and performance metrics to ensure clear comprehension of risks and their implications on funding.

Analyze, interpret, develop, enhance, and provide strategic input on financial models to ensure accuracy, relevance, and effectiveness in supporting organizational decision-making and financial planning.

Provide support in crafting loan applications to align with Afraid Bank’s established requirements.

Develop and nurture partnerships with key stakeholders and external organizations essential to advancing our corporate objectives and business priorities.

Analyze and interpret significant activities within pertinent financial institutions to provide strategic advice to the company, fostering excellence in representation and advocacy.

To remain informed about the bank’s products, initiatives, and strategic choices that could impact the organization, consult regularly with senior leadership for timely insights and updates.

Collect and analyze financial intelligence pertaining to the bank and its associated partners.

Drive the execution of directives sanctioned by the Management and Board.

Requirements

A bachelor’s degree in Law, Economics, or a Finance-related field is required.

An advanced degree, specifically an MBA in a relevant discipline, is highly advantageous.

With a minimum of a decade of professional experience in either a banking institution or a financial organization, candidates should possess substantial hands-on expertise in the sector.

Exceptional interpersonal abilities are essential for cultivating and sustaining productive partnerships with internal business units, government agencies, and both private producers and marketing firms.

Proven track record of exceptional intelligence, strong commercial judgment, and reliable performance, with the capacity to rapidly assimilate new ideas and a high degree of numerical proficiency.

With a strong background in Business Development, you demonstrate a proven track record in cultivating influential relationships with key stakeholders and effectively leveraging these connections to successfully promote and gain buy-in for innovative ideas.

Demonstrates exceptional skill in conveying ideas clearly and persuasively, fostering strong professional relationships through adept interpersonal interaction.

Capable of questioning conventional approaches, demonstrating a strong drive to execute transactions and create value.

Possesses a strong commitment to owning and driving accountability throughout the entire deal process, ensuring meticulous oversight and proactive management of all stages.
