Responsibilities
Deliver thorough and holistic medical treatment to all admitted patients, ensuring their health needs are met with the highest standard of care.
Perform comprehensive evaluations of patients upon their initial visit, design individualized treatment strategies, and oversee the continuity of their medical care.
Perform daily ward rounds and meticulously document clinical findings.
Evaluate patient progress and tailor treatment plans accordingly to ensure optimal care outcomes.
Provide comprehensive management for acute illnesses, chronic disease exacerbations, and post-operative recovery.
Respond immediately to urgent situations involving inpatients and any signs of clinical decline.
Promote adherence to protocols and uphold evidence-based clinical practice standards rigorously.
Responsible for managing and supervising admission procedures, ensuring accurate clerking and meticulous documentation throughout the process.
Conduct daily ward rounds and oversee the prompt evaluation of all patients.
Coordinate discharge planning efforts to facilitate seamless and timely transitions of care, ensuring patient safety throughout the process.
Compose discharge summaries, generate prescriptions, and establish follow-up care plans.
Work effectively alongside specialists, nurses, pharmacists, and allied health professionals to deliver comprehensive care.
Collaborate with other departments to initiate and manage referrals and consultations efficiently.
Maintain seamless transitions of patient care across emergency, inpatient, and outpatient settings.
Engage actively in collaborative case reviews and discussions involving multidisciplinary teams.
Design evidence-based protocols and guidelines, then provide education to medical officers and nurses on their implementation in patient care.
Follow established clinical protocols, guidelines, and evidence-based practices rigorously in all patient care activities.
Contribute to efforts aimed at enhancing quality and conducting clinical audits.
Monitor patient safety and quality improvement indicators, which encompass medication errors, readmissions, and adverse events, among other factors.
Demonstrate adherence to established infection prevention and control protocols and guidelines at all times.
Report clinical incidents and engage in root cause analysis (RCA) to identify underlying causes and prevent recurrence.
Ensure medical records are meticulously maintained with precision, completeness, and punctuality.
Demonstrate exceptional communication skills by clearly and compassionately discussing diagnoses, treatment plans, and anticipated outcomes with patients and their families.
Ensure thorough and comprehensible handovers are conducted at the conclusion of each shift.
Facilitate adherence to accreditation standards, such as those outlined by the Joint Commission International.
Facilitate transparent and compassionate communication with patients and their families to clearly convey diagnoses, outline treatment plans, and discuss prognoses.
Exhibit empathy, mutual respect, and professionalism consistently across all engagements.
Facilitate seamless transitions for patients throughout their entire care journey, from initial admission through to final discharge.
Contribute to enhancing patient satisfaction (CSAT) and experience (NPS) scores.
Oversee the performance and activities of medical officers to ensure adherence to established protocols and standards of care.
Engage actively in the clinical instruction and mentorship of junior doctors, contributing to their professional development and practical training within the healthcare environment.
Provide guidance and facilitate professional development for clinical staff through training and mentorship programs.
Engage in clinical meetings, case reviews, ecosystem grand rounds, and various departmental activities to foster collaboration and enhance patient care.
Commit to ongoing professional growth through Continuous Professional Development (CPD) initiatives, ensuring alignment with evolving medical practices and current clinical guidelines.
Facilitate adherence to established hospital policies and clinical governance frameworks to ensure compliance and quality standards in all operational activities.

Candidates must meet the following qualifications and possess relevant experience to be considered for this role. Applicants should have a minimum of five years of experience in a comparable position, along with a bachelor’s degree in a related field. Proficiency in industry-standard software and tools is essential, and prior leadership or project management experience is highly preferred. Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills are necessary to excel in this position. Additional requirements may include certifications or specialized training pertinent to the role.
Earned a medical degree (MBBS or equivalent) from an accredited institution.
Demonstrated completion of the National Youth Service Corps (NYC) program is a compulsory requirement.
With a minimum of five to seven years of hands-on clinical experience, candidates should demonstrate a strong foundation in direct patient care and evidence-based practice. This role demands a proven track record of delivering high-quality healthcare services, as well as the ability to adapt to evolving medical protocols and technologies.
