As an HR Officer, you will play a pivotal role within our organization, delivering strategic HR support and a full spectrum of services to the company.

You will be instrumental in providing robust administrative support to the Human Resources department, executing a diverse array of functions and processes to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.

Key Responsibilites

Human Resources professionals oversee recruitment initiatives, employee relations, and workforce development to ensure organizational success. They design and implement compensation, benefits, and performance management strategies, fostering a productive and compliant work environment. Additionally, they handle employee onboarding, training programs, and compliance with labor laws. Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills are essential, along with proficiency in HR software and data analysis. A bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field is typically required, with professional certifications preferred.

Responsibilities include evaluating and updating HR policies and procedures to ensure alignment with organizational objectives and compliance with relevant labor regulations.

Oversee the entire recruitment, selection, and onboarding lifecycle, from initial sourcing to final integration of new hires.

Oversee the biannual performance appraisal process and facilitate performance enhancement initiatives.

Perform Training Needs Analysis (TNA) and design and execute staff training and development initiatives.

Manage employee relations, address grievances, and oversee disciplinary proceedings with professionalism and strict confidentiality.

Maintain and update employee records, contracts, and HR databases, whether stored manually or electronically.

Support payroll and benefits administration while ensuring adherence to statutory remittance requirements, including NS ITF, ITF, PEN COM, and other relevant regulations.

Design and implement employee engagement and wellness initiatives aimed at cultivating collaboration and fostering an inclusive workplace culture.

Provide comprehensive administrative support to ensure efficient office operations, including managing correspondence, scheduling appointments, maintaining records, and facilitating communication between departments. Handle data entry, prepare reports, and assist with various clerical duties as needed. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are essential, along with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and exceptional written and verbal communication abilities are required. Prior experience in an administrative role is preferred.

Deliver comprehensive administrative support to executive leadership and departmental heads to enhance operational efficiency and facilitate decision-making processes.

Ensure efficient office operations, procure necessary office supplies, and coordinate with vendors as needed.

Prepare and organize company documentation for client audits, certifications, and renewals.

Facilitate the organization and coordination of corporate meetings, workshops, and training sessions.

Provides assistance in the preparation and submission of bids, ensuring strict adherence to compliance requirements and regulatory standards throughout the bidding process.

Assist with the development of tender and bid submissions tailored for private enterprises, governmental bodies, and international institutions, including entities such as the United Nations and various non-governmental organizations.

Ensure timely renewal and documentation of statutory and company certifications required for eligibility in bids.

Compile and organize prequalification documents, staff curricula vitae, and technical submissions for tender applications.

Collaborate with pertinent departments to guarantee adherence to bid specifications and timelines.

Requirements

A bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or an equivalent discipline is required.

Candidates should possess two to three years of practical HR experience, ideally within a project-driven or technical setting.

Professional certification from the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management (CPM) or a comparable credential is highly desirable.

A thorough knowledge of Nigerian labor laws, contemporary HR best practices, and administrative management principles is essential.

Proficiency in preparing or contributing to bid or tender documentation is advantageous.

Proficient in communication, organization, and interpersonal relations, with demonstrated expertise in each area.

Demonstrates strong expertise in utilizing Microsoft Office Suite applications and Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS) tools effectively.
