Job Summary
A seasoned and proficient Group Head, safety is required to deliver strategic direction for Health, Safety, Security, and Environmental (HESSE) management across our expanding operations.
This pivotal leadership position focuses on advancing a robust safety culture, reinforcing operational safeguards, maintaining strict adherence to regulatory requirements, and integrating industry-leading safety protocols throughout our downstream, midstream, marine, depot, terminal, retail, logistics, and infrastructure operations.
What You Will Do
Direct the formulation, execution, and ongoing enhancement of the Group’s Health, Safety, Security, and Environment (HESSE) strategy, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and regulatory requirements.
Champion a culture of proactive safety throughout all business operations and sites.
Offer comprehensive supervision of safety measures across depot, terminal, marine, logistics, retail, and project operations.
Guarantee adherence to all relevant regulatory, statutory, and industry safety mandates to uphold organizational compliance standards.
Provide leadership in incident prevention efforts, conduct thorough investigations, perform detailed root cause analysis, and implement necessary corrective actions.
Design and maintain safety performance indicators while establishing robust management reporting frameworks to track and evaluate organizational safety metrics.
Conduct operational risk assessments, identify potential hazards, and implement effective control measures throughout all company facilities.
Demonstrate exemplary safety leadership in overseeing vessel operations, product discharge procedures, tank farm management, truck loading processes, and product transfer activities.
Responsibilities include managing emergency preparedness measures, coordinating response planning efforts, conducting drills, and implementing business continuity initiatives.
Foster and maintain professional relationships with regulatory bodies, emergency management organizations, security agencies, and various external stakeholders to ensure effective collaboration and compliance with relevant standards.
Conduct comprehensive safety audits, perform thorough inspections, ensure strict compliance with regulatory standards, and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance workplace safety.
Ensure strict adherence to Group safety standards by contractors, vendors, and third parties.
Collaborate with infrastructure development initiatives by integrating safety protocols into each phase of project implementation and commissioning.
