The Role
The Analytics Head oversees MSI Nigeria’s data analytics and reporting operations, guaranteeing the provision of high-caliber, prompt, and actionable insights for program, clinical, and organizational leadership.

The Analytics Head collaborates closely with Program, Operations, Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E), Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL), Research, and Clinical Services teams to guarantee that analytical outputs from all decision-support systems meet strategic objectives, maintain high accuracy, and serve their intended purpose effectively.

Data Privacy Governance involves establishing and enforcing policies, procedures, and controls to ensure the protection of personal and sensitive data within an organization. This role requires expertise in data protection regulations, such as GDPR, CCPA, and other global privacy laws, along with the ability to conduct comprehensive risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies. Monitor Nigerian and international data privacy laws continuously to assess their potential impact on MSI Nigeria’s operations, ensuring the Head of Department and Senior Management Team are promptly informed of any relevant developments.
Conduct thorough Privacy Impact Assessments to identify and mitigate potential risks to data subjects’ privacy rights, ensuring compliance with applicable privacy laws and regulations.
Perform Privacy Impact Assessments (Bias) for any new or substantially modified data systems, research initiatives, and program-level data collection procedures.
Documented privacy risks with defined mitigation strategies, assigned accountable owners, and established review schedules, while maintaining an active risk register pending endorsement by the Department Head.
Ensure that Privacy Impact Assessments (Bias) are integrated into system design and procurement decisions, particularly during the ERP implementation process.
Designing and implementing engaging training programs and awareness initiatives to educate employees on critical policies, procedures, and compliance requirements, ensuring a thorough understanding of organizational standards and fostering a culture of accountability and ethical behavior.
Design and provide ongoing data privacy training programs tailored to the specific needs of all MSI Nigeria staff, ensuring that the content remains relevant, engaging, and fully compliant with the latest legal standards.
Maintain a comprehensive data privacy training register, documenting completion rates for each department and promptly escalating any identified gaps to department heads and HR for resolution.

Incident & Compliance Oversight: Ensuring adherence to regulatory standards and internal policies, this role monitors incidents, assesses risks, and implements corrective measures to maintain organizational compliance. Duties include investigating deviations, documenting findings, and collaborating with stakeholders to mitigate potential violations. Proficiency in compliance frameworks and incident management systems is required, along with strong analytical and communication skills to report on compliance status and recommend improvements.
As the primary escalation contact, address and resolve data privacy incidents or inquiries initiated by staff members or information leads across other departments.
Document all data privacy incidents, evaluate their severity, and manage the organizational response in accordance with NDPR regulations and MSI policies.
Compile a quarterly data privacy compliance report for the Head of Department, summarizing training completion status, completed Privacy Impact Assessments (Bias), identified risks, and handled incidents.
