Corridor Activation for GTC Nigeria Gambia Ugric Export Activation involves strategically enhancing trade pathways to bolster agricultural exports between Nigeria and Gambia. This initiative focuses on optimizing logistical frameworks, strengthening cross-border partnerships, and ensuring seamless movement of goods. Responsibilities include coordinating with stakeholders, implementing trade facilitation measures, and monitoring compliance with regulatory standards. The role demands expertise in agricultural trade dynamics, proficiency in export logistics, and strong interpersonal skills to navigate diverse market conditions effectively.

Develop and implement a cold storage infrastructure solution at the Banjul port, ensuring a minimum capacity of 500 metric tons is achieved.

Secure binding offtake agreements for Lagos, with a requirement to finalize at least one agreement with a Lagos-based wholesale fish importer prior to the initial shipment.

Execute the inaugural containerized export shipment, facilitating transit from Banjul to Lagos and vice versa. This critical milestone serves as the definitive validation of the entire operational model.

Responsibilities include managing the selection of contractors, establishing commissioning timelines, and ensuring operational readiness.

Regulatory & Compliance Management

The Chief Operating Officer is responsible for ensuring adherence to regulatory standards in Nigeria and The Gambia, maintaining flawless compliance records across all relevant authorities, including the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS), National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC), Standards Organization of Nigeria (SON), Gambia Revenue Authority, and phytosanitary certification protocols, with an unwavering commitment to eliminating any compliance discrepancies.

Assist the Compliance & Licensing Officer in overseeing and implementing CBN foreign exchange regulations, preparing FCC reports, and ensuring adherence to Gambia Central Bank requirements for the activation of corridor financial services.

Candidates must possess a minimum of five years of relevant experience in a comparable role, along with a bachelor’s degree in a related field. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are essential, as is proficiency in [specific software/tools relevant to the role].
