Applicants must have 2 to 5 years of relevant professional experience.

The preferred applicant will possess the following qualifications:

Demonstrates a robust understanding of contemporary forensic science methodologies and criminal investigation techniques, with particular emphasis on chemistry and biology, including the application of presumptive testing.

Requires a comprehensive understanding of key principles underlying the analysis of biological samples, organic and inorganic substances, encompassing solution preparation for testing purposes and proficient operation of laboratory equipment.

Proven ability to develop and implement standardized operating procedures for detecting drugs, alcohol, poisons, and biological fluids (such as saliva, blood, and semen) is essential.

Must demonstrate expertise in creating and implementing standardized operating procedures for the examination of trace evidence, including hairs, paint, fibers, gunshot residue (GSR), glass, and explosives or ignitable liquids.

Coordinate all evidence-related activities to maintain an unbroken chain of custody, ensuring compliance with established procedures for requesting, receiving, processing, returning, and documenting case materials and items.

Support research initiatives by collecting, compiling, and evaluating data to inform critical decisions and enhance project results.

Perform comprehensive literature reviews to collect pertinent data on specified topics or research inquiries, subsequently distilling and presenting the most significant insights to support research initiatives.

Provide support in the establishment of experiments, preparation of materials and apparatus, and execution of protocols under guidance.

Demonstrate a steadfast commitment to complying with established internal Quality Control and Assurance protocols, as well as Quality Management Systems and Standard Operating Procedures.

Develop comprehensive presentations and reports that effectively communicate project updates, key insights, and final recommendations to both internal stakeholders and external partners.

Work collaboratively with colleagues across disciplines to exchange perspectives and offer innovative solutions during problem-solving sessions.

Perform comprehensive DNA analysis, beginning with sample extraction and proceeding through to data interpretation, utilizing evidence from diverse case types.

Conduct instructional sessions on forensic topics for both internal and external stakeholders to facilitate their understanding and proficiency.

Demonstrates strong analytical capabilities and excels at managing multiple priorities simultaneously. Proficient in working both autonomously and collaboratively within small team settings.

Candidates must either be currently based in Abu Dhabi or prepared to relocate promptly if selected.
