Compiling and presenting daily, weekly, and monthly financial reports constitutes a key responsibility.
Overseeing accounts receivable and payable operations, including the management of incoming and outgoing financial transactions, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with established accounting standards and company policies.
Responsibilities include reconciling bank statements to ensure accuracy and overseeing cash flow to maintain financial stability. This role involves meticulously verifying transactions, identifying discrepancies, and generating reports to support informed decision-making. Strong attention to detail and proficiency in financial management are essential for effectively performing these tasks.
The financial entries must be posted and processed promptly to maintain accurate and up-to-date records.
Provides support in the development of budgets and the monitoring of expenditures to ensure financial accountability and alignment with organizational objectives.
Ensuring adherence to established financial policies and procedures is a critical responsibility. This role involves maintaining strict compliance with internal guidelines to safeguard organizational integrity and financial accuracy.
Facilitating audit processes and supplying essential financial documentation as needed.
Monitor financial records to identify and document discrepancies for accurate reporting.
Assigned accounting responsibilities, in addition to standard tasks, are executed as directed by management.
Requirements
A relevant academic background—either a Bachelor’s Degree or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Accounting, Finance, or a closely aligned discipline—is required.
A minimum of two to four years of hands-on experience in an accounting or finance capacity is required.
Demonstrates a solid grasp of fundamental accounting principles and methodologies.
Skilled in utilizing accounting software and Microsoft Excel proficiently.
Requires exceptional precision, meticulous attention to detail, and strong organizational capabilities.
Proven capability in critical analysis and adept problem-solving is required. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a keen aptitude for evaluating complex situations and developing effective solutions efficiently.
Proven capability to thrive in high-pressure environments while consistently delivering results within strict deadline constraints.
Effective communication and strong interpersonal abilities are essential for fostering productive relationships and ensuring clear, concise exchanges of information.
Professional certification from bodies such as ICAN or ARCA will be considered an additional asset.
