Our client, a leading distributor of alcoholic beverages, is in search of a skilled Finance Manager to join their team.
Oversee and execute a range of critical duties, including managing project timelines, coordinating team efforts, and ensuring alignment with organizational objectives. Analyze performance data to identify trends, implement process improvements, and maintain high standards of efficiency and accuracy. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline workflows, address challenges, and deliver results in a timely manner. Serve as a point of contact for stakeholders, providing updates, resolving issues, and fostering strong professional relationships. Additionally, monitor resource allocation, budget adherence, and compliance with company policies to uphold operational excellence.
Conduct and manage thorough reconciliations for every balance sheet account to ensure accuracy and compliance with established financial standards.
Maintain the integrity and thoroughness of financial documentation with meticulous attention to detail.
Examine general ledger entries to identify and rectify any inconsistencies or discrepancies that may arise.
Facilitate the completion of month-end and year-end closing procedures to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
Oversee financial control systems and verify adherence to established internal policies.
Collaborate effectively across departments to identify and address financial discrepancies, ensuring alignment and accuracy in all financial records.
Assist with audit activities and prepare all necessary documentation as mandated.
Supervise and mentor junior finance team members as needed, providing guidance and support to ensure their professional development and effective contribution to financial operations.
Skilled candidates must demonstrate experience in project management along with a minimum of five years in a leadership role. A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related field is essential. Familiarity with industry-specific software and tools is a must, as is the ability to analyze data and generate actionable insights. Strong communication and collaboration skills are required to effectively lead cross-functional teams. Additionally, experience in budget management and adherence to regulatory compliance are key qualifications.
A bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a closely related discipline is required.
Requires 4 to 7 years of professional experience in finance or accounting.
Proven expertise in executing balance sheet reconciliations is required, with a demonstrated ability to ensure accuracy and consistency in financial records. Candidates should possess in-depth knowledge of reconciliation processes, including identifying discrepancies, resolving variances, and maintaining compliance with accounting standards. Experience in analyzing complex accounts and performing thorough reviews to support financial integrity is essential.
Requires in-depth knowledge of QuickBooks and Desktop Enterprise to handle financial data accurately and efficiently.
FMCG industry exposure in inventory-intensive settings is advantageous.
Demonstrated ability to meticulously analyze information and resolve complex issues with precision and efficiency.
