As a Field Collections Officer, your key responsibility involves driving the prompt recovery of loan repayments. You will oversee and rehabilitate delinquent accounts by applying established collections and recovery strategies in full compliance with regulatory requirements. Demonstrating professionalism in addressing customer disputes and grievances, along with coordinating with other departments, will be essential to resolving issues efficiently.

Responsibilities and Duties:

The position involves executing key tasks and contributing to organizational objectives through the following duties. The role requires overseeing specific operations, ensuring adherence to established protocols, and collaborating with stakeholders to achieve desired outcomes. Additionally, the job entails monitoring performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing strategic initiatives to enhance efficiency and productivity. The incumbent must maintain compliance with industry standards, manage project timelines, and facilitate cross-functional communication to support seamless workflows.

As a Field Collections Officer at Fair Money, you will primarily be tasked with executing debt recovery operations, ensuring prompt and compliant collections while maintaining Fair Money’s commitment to ethical practices. Your role will encompass managing delinquent accounts, engaging with customers to negotiate repayment plans, and documenting interactions in accordance with company policies and regulatory standards. Additionally, you will conduct on-site visits to verify information, assess collateral where applicable, and mitigate risks associated with overdue obligations. Strong interpersonal skills and a results-driven mindset will be essential to fulfilling these duties effectively.

Conduct routine on-site inspections to interact with customers in default, which includes agents and merchants, through telephone, email, and other legally compliant methods to pursue collections on delinquent accounts.

Prepare and update a comprehensive daily activity log, documenting key performance metrics including the total number of calls made, successful right-party contacts, promises to pay secured, and fulfilled payment commitments.

Review records of overdue payments to identify delinquent accounts and promptly initiate daily contact efforts to resolve outstanding balances.

Negotiate and finalize payment arrangements and settlements to avert further account delinquency.

Diligently monitor payments by proactively following up on outstanding commitments and facilitating prompt resolutions to maintain financial accuracy and efficiency.

A bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a closely related discipline is necessary. Candidates must possess at least three years of relevant work experience in software development or a similar field. Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or C++ is essential. Strong problem-solving abilities and excellent communication skills are also required. Knowledge of software development methodologies, including Agile and Scrum, is preferred. Additionally, familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS or Azure is advantageous.

To thrive in this position, candidates must fulfill the following qualifications:

A bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant discipline is required.

Seeking candidates with a minimum of two years of hands-on experience in consumer loan operations, specifically within merchant-related contexts. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing delinquent accounts and effectively resolving complex customer issues.

A strong command of Microsoft Excel is required.

Self-driven with excellent abilities to collaborate and communicate effectively.

Proficient in both oral and written communication, with a strong ability to articulate ideas clearly and effectively.

Accomplished analytical and problem-solving capabilities with a proven track record of identifying innovative solutions to complex challenges.
