Oversee and manage critical operational duties, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and fostering efficient workflows. You will be tasked with leading cross-functional initiatives, optimizing processes, and maintaining high standards of performance across all assigned areas. Responsibilities include analyzing data to identify trends, implementing corrective actions when necessary, and providing strategic recommendations to senior leadership. Additionally, you will collaborate with department heads to streamline communication, allocate resources effectively, and drive continuous improvement within the team. Execute trades spanning multiple asset classes with proprietary capital.
Design and execute trading strategies grounded in technical and/or fundamental analysis methodologies.
Regularly assess market conditions and adapt strategies in response to performance metrics and evolving trends.
Responsible for overseeing and regulating risk exposure to ensure alignment with established internal risk management protocols.
Stay current with the latest market developments, economic trends, and advancements in trading technologies to ensure informed decision-making and strategic insights.
Compile comprehensive performance reports on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis to ensure accurate and timely tracking of key metrics and trends.
Engage in collaborative efforts with fellow traders, analysts, and risk management professionals to achieve shared objectives and enhance overall team performance.
Conduct rigorous back-testing of strategies and refine models to optimize profitability.
Requirements
A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, or a closely related discipline is required.
With a minimum of five years of trading experience within a proprietary trading setting or an analogous financial capacity, candidates should possess a solid background in executing trades and managing risk in dynamic markets.
Professional certifications such as the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) or Financial Risk Manager (FRM) are considered advantageous.
Proficient in Nigerian capital market instruments and well-versed in trading regulations.
Proven expertise in utilizing trading platforms, including X-Gen (NGX trading engine), Bloomberg (where applicable), or proprietary trading terminals, is required.
Requires robust analytical and quantitative capabilities to interpret data, identify trends, and derive actionable insights.
Demonstrates a comprehensive understanding of financial markets, instruments, and trading strategies.
Strong proficiency in risk management and decision-making is essential.
