Job Summary
A meticulous and proactive Risk Officer is required to systematically identify, evaluate, assess, and mitigate operational, financial, compliance, and business risks throughout the organization.
The ideal candidate will be instrumental in enhancing internal control frameworks, maintaining adherence to regulatory requirements, and advancing business continuity strategies.
Oversee and execute critical operational duties, ensuring adherence to established protocols and standards. Develop and maintain efficient processes to enhance productivity and service quality. Lead a team by providing clear guidance, support, and performance feedback to foster professional growth. Collaborate with cross-functional departments to align objectives and drive cohesive project outcomes. Monitor key performance indicators to assess progress and implement corrective measures as needed. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and organizational policies throughout all activities.
Analyze and evaluate potential risks that could affect the organization’s operational continuity, financial stability, reputation, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
Formulate and execute comprehensive risk management policies, procedures, and frameworks to ensure robust organizational governance and mitigation of potential threats.
Monitor internal control systems and proactively identify opportunities to enhance risk mitigation strategies through targeted recommendations for improvement.
Perform regular evaluations of potential risks and compile comprehensive reports for management consideration.
Maintain adherence to all relevant laws, regulations, and established internal policies.
Partner with various departments to detect potential risk exposures and institute corrective measures accordingly.
Conduct thorough examinations of risk incidents, control breaches, and operational failures to identify root causes and develop strategic recommendations for implementing preventive measures.
Facilitate internal and external audit processes while driving prompt resolution of audit findings to maintain compliance and operational integrity.
You will be responsible for overseeing risk registers and ensuring continuous monitoring of risk mitigation strategies to address identified threats effectively.
Deliver comprehensive risk awareness education and expert guidance to all employees to foster a secure and informed workplace environment.
Stay abreast of developing risks and evolving industry patterns that could impact business continuity.
Candidates must meet the following qualifications for consideration: a bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field, along with a minimum of five years of professional experience in software development. Proficiency in multiple programming languages, such as Python, Java, or C++, is essential, along with expertise in database management and system architecture. Strong problem-solving abilities, analytical thinking, and teamwork skills are also required. Familiarity with Agile methodologies and version control systems like Git is preferred.
A bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a closely related discipline is required.
Experienced professionals with a solid background of three to four years in Risk Management, Internal Audit, Compliance, Finance, or Internal Control are sought for this role.
Highly valued is prior experience within an audit firm.
Proficiency in finance and accounting functions would be beneficial.
Exceptional proficiency in analysis, problem resolution, and investigative methodologies is required.
Possesses a solid grasp of risk management principles, internal controls, and applicable regulatory requirements.
Strong proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite, with a particular emphasis on advanced Excel skills, is required.
Proven ability to craft clear, concise reports, communicate effectively with diverse audiences, and expertly manage relationships with key stakeholders.
