We are currently seeking skilled and seasoned Shelling Machine Operators to fill immediate vacancies for a well-established cashew manufacturing company in Nigeria, recognized for its extensive production infrastructure.
Key duties involve managing project timelines, coordinating cross-functional teams, and ensuring deliverables meet established quality standards. Additionally, the role requires analyzing data to identify trends, collaborating with stakeholders to align on strategic objectives, and maintaining comprehensive documentation of all processes and outcomes. Operate shelling machines by loading raw cashew nuts into the machinery and overseeing the shelling process to ensure efficiency and quality.
Revise machine parameters—such as speed, pressure, and blade clearances—to align with nut dimensions, thereby reducing kernel fracture incidents.
Perform thorough quality inspections on shelled kernels to detect any instances of breakage, shell residue, or other defects.
Troubleshoot minor machine malfunctions, clear paper or material jams, execute regular cleaning procedures, and escalate significant faults to the maintenance team for resolution.
Adhere strictly to all established safety protocols and wear the mandated personal protective equipment (PPE), such as gloves, safety goggles, and hearing protection, at all times.
Achieve daily production objectives while ensuring minimal kernel breakage rates.
Accurately document machine runtime, production output, downtime, and maintenance activities to ensure precise record-keeping.
Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and a minimum of five years of professional experience in the industry. Proficiency in specific software tools and strong project management skills are essential, along with the ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams. Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities are required, and familiarity with industry regulations is beneficial. The role demands adaptability to evolving priorities and a commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
A minimum of two years of hands-on experience operating shelling machines or comparable production equipment within a manufacturing setting is required.
Capable of overseeing and modifying machine configurations to optimize production efficiency.
Demonstrates meticulous attention to quality and precision in all work performed.
Proficient in troubleshooting issues and performing routine machine maintenance effectively.
Possesses a solid comprehension of occupational health and safety regulations and practices.
Candidates should exhibit willingness to work on-site in More-Ibafo, located in Gun State.
The position offers a competitive salary range between $120,000 and $150,000.
