We seek a meticulous and highly organized professional to join our Risk department as an Area Collections Executive. The successful candidate will spearhead all field collections activities for our PAY products, ensuring timely and efficient recovery. Additionally, they will provide strategic advice and recommendations to enhance customer payment practices and satisfaction, while guaranteeing that our service offerings align with end-user expectations.

We seek a candidate for a fixed-term contract position within our Corporate Risk department, based in Nigeria. This role requires onsite presence.

What you would be expected to do

Analyzing regional portfolio performance and repayment patterns to develop strategic daily, weekly, and monthly plans aimed at optimizing collection rates from delinquent customers.

Performing on-site market evaluations to verify sales quality and gather diverse regional insights, with the aim of refining strategic initiatives to prevent issues such as disabled lamps and chargebacks.

Each week, you will deliver detailed progress reports to the Sales and Risk Management teams, summarizing on-field interventions executed as well as their corresponding outcomes and key customer insights.

Designing, implementing, and optimizing collection processes to enhance repayment outcomes and elevate customer satisfaction is essential.

Collaborating closely with Area Business Managers and Field Sales Executives, this role involves executing product repossession from delinquent customers when hands-on intervention becomes necessary.

Responsibilities include promptly documenting and escalating any instances of product tampering detected in the field via the established protocols and channels provided by the Risk team.

Facilitating the reporting and subsequent corrective measures against individuals engaged in fraudulent activities within the field—including instances of product tampering and deceptive sales practices by Field Sales Executives—while adhering to the established procedures defined by the Risk function.

Responsibilities include equipping Field Sales Executives with the skills necessary to manage repossession processes and resolve complex customer collection disputes effectively.

To maintain operational efficiency, overseeing the workflow to ensure Field Officers (Agents) consistently adhere to scheduled collection calls and repossession tasks.

Establishing and managing cash collection centers to ensure the critical collection area is effectively operational.

A Bachelor’s degree or Higher Diploma in Finance, Community Development, Communication, Credit Risk Management, or related disciplines is required.

Seeking a minimum of one year of relevant professional experience, preferably with hands-on involvement in comparable roles and direct engagement with rural customer communities.
