Job Summary:

The Insurance & Claims Officer will oversee the administration and management of all corporate insurance policies, ensuring that renewals are processed punctually, documentation is meticulously maintained, and claims are handled with efficiency and accuracy. This position requires close collaboration with insurance brokers and providers to guarantee comprehensive coverage and expedite claim resolutions in alignment with organizational objectives.

Key Duties Encompass: Planning, organizing, and prioritizing project tasks to ensure timely completion within budget constraints. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, conduct feasibility studies, and align project goals with organizational objectives. Managing project schedules, milestones, and deliverables through effective resource allocation and risk mitigation strategies. Overseeing quality assurance processes to maintain high standards and adherence to industry regulations. Facilitating communication between stakeholders, providing regular updates, and addressing any concerns to foster transparency and alignment. Leading team meetings, delegating responsibilities, and evaluating performance to drive productivity and innovation.

Maintain a current and comprehensive register of all company insurance policies, including motor, plant and machinery, contractors’ all risk, and group life coverage.

Monitor policy expiration dates vigilantly to facilitate prompt renewals, thereby preventing any interruptions in coverage.

Collaborate with insurance brokers and carriers to facilitate policy placement, manage renewals, and process endorsements.

Coordinate and oversee all insurance claims to guarantee efficient processing and prompt settlement.

Collect and provide all necessary documentation for claims, including incident reports, photographs, and estimates.

Track claims progress and deliver periodic status reports to senior leadership, ensuring transparency and timely communication.

Confirm that all insurance certificates and documents remain accurately filed and readily available for quick retrieval.

Assist project teams in managing insurance documentation and ensuring adherence to compliance standards.

Conduct a thorough review of insurance policies to verify compliance with company operations and contractual obligations, ensuring accuracy and alignment with established standards.

Support the evaluation of contract and agreement documentation to ensure compliance with specified insurance requirements.

Prepare comprehensive, regular updates regarding insurance coverage, renewal schedules, and claim statuses to ensure accurate and timely tracking of all relevant information.

Requirements:

A bachelor’s degree in Insurance, Business Administration, Finance, or a closely related discipline is required.

Professional experience ranging from one to three years in insurance administration, claims processing, or an equivalent position is required.

Professional experience collaborating with insurance brokers or firms is highly beneficial.

Professionals should possess foundational knowledge of corporate insurance policies, including motor, asset, and project-related coverage.

Demonstrates exceptional ability to maintain meticulous organization and accurate record-keeping.

Effective interpersonal and follow-up abilities are essential for this role, ensuring consistent and clear exchanges with stakeholders and timely completion of tasks. Strong organizational skills are also required to manage workloads efficiently while maintaining attention to detail. Additionally, the ability to document interactions and track ongoing projects is crucial for accountability and progress reporting.

Demonstrates expert-level competence in Microsoft Office applications, with a particular emphasis on advanced Excel skills.
