Ensure the accurate, timely preparation and delivery of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, adhering to all relevant regulatory and accounting standards.
Responsibilities include overseeing and reconciling the general ledger to ensure precise recording of all financial transactions.
Develop and deliver financial analyses, projections, and performance summaries to leadership, enabling strategic decision-making based on accurate, actionable insights.
Monitor financial data diligently to detect emerging trends, assess variances, and pinpoint opportunities for enhancement.
Collaborate with departmental heads to spearhead the annual budgeting process.
Oversee budget execution, analyze discrepancies, and propose corrective actions to ensure financial alignment and efficiency.
To drive operational efficiency, execute cost optimization strategies aimed at reducing expenditures while maintaining productivity standards.
Ensure all tax returns are filed punctually and statutory obligations such as those to the FIRS, LIES, Pension, NHF, and others are settled without delay.
Design and implement robust internal control frameworks to protect company assets and mitigate the risk of fraudulent activities.
Facilitate the seamless execution and backing of both internal and external audits, while expediting the rectification of identified findings.
Ensure adherence to all applicable financial regulations and internal company policies at all times.
Manage cash flow, banking operations, and relationships with financial institutions
Monitor working capital to ensure adequate liquidity for operations and projects
Assess potential investments and provide strategic recommendations to leadership regarding optimal funding approaches.
Responsible for leveraging accounting software and ERP systems to ensure precise reporting and data analytics.
The position necessitates a minimum of three years of direct experience in a relevant field, along with a bachelor’s degree in a related discipline. Proficiency in industry-standard software and tools is essential, alongside strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities. Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, are required to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate must demonstrate the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Familiarity with regulatory compliance and quality assurance standards is also a key requirement for this role.
Earned a Bachelor of Science degree or Higher National Diploma in Accounting or Finance with a solid academic foundation in financial principles, reporting standards, and regulatory compliance.
Professional certification from recognized bodies such as ICAN, ARCA, or their equivalents is an essential requirement for this role.
A minimum of eight years of progressive accounting experience, including at least three years in a senior management capacity, is required.
Demonstrated expertise in financial planning, analysis, and reporting, with a track record of success.
