Job Summary

We invite qualified and dedicated applicants to join our team as a Chemistry Teacher, responsible for instructing students in the IGCSE, WAEC, NECK, British, and Nigerian curricula.

The successful applicant will facilitate dynamic instruction, foster robust scientific comprehension among students, and equip them thoroughly for internal and external assessments.

Oversee the full spectrum of responsibilities associated with this role, including strategic planning, execution of key initiatives, and continuous performance monitoring to ensure alignment with organizational objectives. Develop and implement policies, procedures, and systems that enhance operational efficiency and drive measurable outcomes. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to foster innovation, streamline workflows, and address complex challenges. Ensure compliance with industry regulations and internal standards while maintaining a strong focus on risk management and quality assurance. Develop and execute meticulously structured Chemistry lessons that meet the standards of IGCSE, WAEC, NECK, British, and Nigerian curricula, ensuring academic excellence and alignment with educational benchmarks.

Deliver comprehensive instruction in theoretical, practical, and experimental aspects of Chemistry with clarity and precision.

Develop comprehensive lesson notes, structured schemes of work, and engaging instructional materials tailored to curriculum objectives.

Perform laboratory experiments with meticulous attention to safety protocols and regulatory compliance.

Facilitate students’ readiness for external assessments, specifically IGCSE, WAEC, and NECK examinations.

Prepare, administer, and assess assignments, tests, and examinations to evaluate student performance accurately and provide constructive feedback.

Ensure meticulous documentation of student performance and developmental milestones.

Employ contemporary instructional strategies and digital resources to optimize educational outcomes.

Maintain classroom order and cultivate an engaging, supportive atmosphere conducive to learning.

Provide tailored academic support and remedial instruction to students with additional learning requirements as needed.

Attend and actively contribute to departmental meetings, school events, and academic planning sessions.

Seeking a candidate with a minimum of three years’ experience in a comparable role, proficiency in project management tools, and strong analytical abilities. The ideal applicant must demonstrate excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and the capacity to lead cross-functional teams effectively. A bachelor’s degree in business administration, engineering, or a related field is required, along with an advanced understanding of industry-specific regulations and compliance standards. Exceptional problem-solving capabilities and a commitment to continuous improvement are essential for success in this position.

A Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry or an allied discipline is required, with a preference for candidates holding an educational background in the field.

A teaching qualification, including a Postgraduate Diploma in Education (PGE), Teacher Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN) certification, or an equivalent credential, is highly advantageous.

Highly desirable is prior teaching experience in IGCSE and WAEC/NECK Chemistry curricula.

Expertise in the educational frameworks governing both the British and Nigerian curricula is required.

Proven expertise in maintaining an organized and productive learning environment, coupled with the ability to engage students through clear and effective communication.

Successfully equip students with the skills and knowledge required to excel in external examinations.

Skills and Capabilities: A strong proficiency in analytical thinking, problem-solving, and adaptability is essential. Candidates must demonstrate exceptional organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail. Proficiency in relevant software applications and tools is required.
