Job Summary

The Transformation Manager serves as the operational backbone of ARM’s Strategy & Transformation function, ensuring disciplined execution of the CEO’s highest-priority transformation initiatives that directly contribute to the FY2026 executive scorecard. This position requires more than project oversight—it demands a hands-on leader who diagnoses execution challenges, collaborates with business units to craft pragmatic solutions, and navigates resistance to drive progress despite lacking direct authority. Candidates must demonstrate a proven ability to deliver high-caliber strategic recommendations and implement meaningful change within a commercial environment, backed by tangible experience and a track record of overcoming obstacles.

Job Details

Cultivates and sustains strategic alliances with primary stakeholders, including internal teams, external partners, and senior leadership, to enhance collaboration and drive organizational success. Acts as a pivotal liaison between departments, ensuring seamless communication and alignment of objectives. Engages regularly with clients, vendors, and regulatory bodies to maintain strong, mutually beneficial connections and uphold the organization’s reputation. Prioritizes relationship-building to foster trust, facilitate information exchange, and support the achievement of key business goals.

As the Head of Strategy & Transformation, you will lead a team and oversee the establishment of strategic transformation priorities. Additionally, you will be responsible for regularly reviewing and assessing the transformation portfolio to ensure alignment with organizational goals.

Managing Directors and initiative sponsors within the business unit will serve as the CEO’s key collaborators on active initiatives, functioning as the primary execution partner for BU-owned projects.

BU initiative leaders and workstream owners serve as primary daily collaborators responsible for driving initiative delivery.

The Group Chief Executive Officer will oversee periodic reporting regarding the progress of the transformation portfolio, ensuring timely escalations for any genuinely stalled initiatives.

Colleagues on the strategy team play a pivotal role in bridging the gap between strategic vision and the practical execution of transformation initiatives.

Duties include managing daily operations to ensure efficiency and productivity, overseeing workflows, and implementing strategies to optimize processes. Additionally, the role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to align objectives, monitoring performance metrics, and identifying opportunities for improvement. Responsibilities extend to supervising staff, delegating tasks, and fostering a positive work environment while maintaining compliance with company policies and regulations. Regular reporting and data analysis are required to support decision-making processes.

Own the rigorous execution of a CEO-prioritized subset of business unit-owned transformation initiatives. This involves organizing each initiative into distinct, deliverable workstreams, defining key milestones, and maintaining a consistent tracking rhythm. Additionally, you will identify emerging execution bottlenecks and spearhead their resolution. While the business unit retains ownership of the initiative, you will be held accountable for ensuring high-quality execution and disciplined progress.

The role involves addressing challenges and designing effective solutions. When a project encounters obstacles, the individual analyzes the underlying causes—be it capability gaps, resource constraints, political factors, or design flaws—and collaborates with business unit partners to develop a viable way forward. This demands high-level problem-solving skills, adapted for an operational setting where the role lacks direct authority; rather than merely proposing recommendations, the individual must execute and implement solutions.

This role demands strong engagement and accountability, collaborating closely with business unit initiative leads and sponsors to sustain progress. The individual must ensure BU counterparts meet agreed-upon deadlines, deliver required data, and allocate necessary resources, intervening only when natural momentum has fully dissipated. Influence in this position stems from the depth of contributions and the soundness of strategic decisions, rather than positional authority.

The role involves overseeing portfolio monitoring and generating comprehensive reports. It requires maintaining an objective and transparent perspective on the transformation portfolio—identifying initiatives that are progressing as planned, those that are deviating from expectations, and those necessitating escalation or termination. The position entails preparing detailed portfolio updates for the Head of Strategy & Transformation as well as presentations for CEO-level evaluations. The individual in this role must proactively and candidly highlight issues, ensuring accurate portrayal rather than overly optimistic interpretations.

You will develop and tailor structured transformation methodologies and tools—including initiative charters, milestone frameworks, risk and dependency trackers, and benefits realization plans—to align with ARM’s operational environment. The focus should remain on accelerating delivery rather than generating excessive documentation, ensuring that methodologies are purposeful and lightweight where appropriate.

Capability transfer involves fostering sustainable transformation execution skills within business unit teams. The ultimate benchmark for success lies not in the indispensability of the individual, but in the enhanced ability of BU teams to independently drive change following collaboration.

To qualify for success, candidates must meet specific performance targets established by management, demonstrating achievement in key metrics such as productivity, quality, efficiency, and adherence to deadlines. Proficiency in relevant software tools, systems, and methodologies is essential to effectively execute job responsibilities and contribute to organizational goals. Strong problem-solving abilities, adaptability, and a commitment to continuous improvement are critical for navigating challenges and driving results. Experience in the field, along with relevant certifications or training, enhances qualifications, while leadership skills and the ability to collaborate across teams ensure alignment with broader strategic objectives.

At the twelve-month mark, the position holder is anticipated to have demonstrated proficiency in fulfilling the following expectations:

Achieved significant advancements across all transformation projects prioritized by the CEO, as validated by business unit leaders who acknowledged the excellence of the execution assistance provided.

Developed and implemented a robust transformation portfolio tracking and reporting framework, which was formally approved by both the Head of Strategy & Transformation and the CEO.

As a result of consistently delivering high-quality engagements, you have earned the trust and respect of BU MDs and initiative sponsors, establishing yourself as a reliable partner in execution. This recognition is reflected not in the sheer quantity of deliverables, but in the caliber of your contributions and the strength of your collaborative relationships.

Developed a collaborative partnership with the Transformation Analyst to facilitate the delegation of execution at the workstream level.
