Responsibilities
Installation, commissioning, and servicing of refrigeration and air conditioning systems, including split units, VRF/VRV systems, chillers, and industrial cooling units, will be performed.
Conduct scheduled preventive maintenance on HVAC/R systems to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
Diagnose and resolve electrical, mechanical, and refrigerant-related faults through systematic analysis and diagnostic testing. Identify and rectify issues affecting system performance, safety, and efficiency, ensuring compliance with industry standards and operational protocols.
Perform repairs and replace various components, including compressors, condensers, evaporators, control boards, and other related parts.
Safely manage refrigerants by performing recovery, recycling, and recharging procedures in compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Maintain precise documentation of service activities and provide clients with guidance on enhancing energy efficiency.
Handle emergency breakdown notifications promptly and efficiently, ensuring timely resolution of service requests while maintaining clear communication with affected parties throughout the process.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, related technical field, or equivalent practical experience is required. Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or C++ is essential. Experience with software development methodologies, including Agile or Scrum, is highly desirable. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail are necessary. Knowledge of data structures, algorithms, or databases is a plus. Excellent communication skills for collaborating with cross-functional teams are also required. Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS or Azure is preferred.
Holders of an OND, Trade Test Certificate, or equivalent qualification in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning (R&A), Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline are required for this role.
We seek candidates with three to four years of practical experience in research and analysis (R&A) or heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems.
Possesses a comprehensive understanding of HVAC principles and systems.
Skilled in the management and charging of refrigerants and gases is essential.
Proficient in interpreting wiring diagrams and technical schematics with precision is required.
Proficient in problem-solving, communication, and collaborative teamwork are essential competencies for this role.
City & Guilds, NAB TEB, or any other widely accepted HVAC/R certification is highly beneficial.
