Job Summary
We are in search of a meticulous and seasoned Archivist to oversee the acquisition, preservation, organization, and accessibility of both physical and digital archival records within the organization. The ideal candidate will safeguard institutional records, facilitate information governance, uphold regulatory compliance, and preserve the organization’s documentary heritage in alignment with established archival standards.
Oversee a range of critical duties, including managing project timelines, coordinating cross-functional teams, and ensuring deliverables align with organizational objectives. Develop and implement strategic initiatives to enhance operational efficiency, while monitoring performance metrics to drive continuous improvement. Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, resolve conflicts, and foster a productive work environment. Additionally, maintain compliance with industry regulations and company policies, and prepare detailed reports to support data-driven decision-making.
Formulate and execute archival policies, standards, and preservation strategies to ensure the integrity and longevity of records.
Evaluate, obtain, systematically arrange, document, and safeguard archival materials and collections to ensure their integrity and accessibility.
Oversee physical and digital archives to maintain secure storage solutions and facilitate efficient retrieval processes.
Oversee the digitization projects and ensure the ongoing management of electronic archives and metadata systems.
Assist in managing records, implementing retention schedules, and advancing information governance initiatives.
Offer archival reference and research services to both internal stakeholders and external clients.
Maintain adherence to established archival standards, regulatory mandates, and internal organizational policies.
Oversee the maintenance of preservation standards and initiate contingency protocols in the event of emergencies affecting archival materials.
Facilitate the preservation, organization, and dissemination of institutional knowledge and historical records.
Develop and present regular reports while proposing enhancements to archival systems and procedures.
Seeking a candidate with a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, such as business administration or finance, coupled with a minimum of three years of progressive experience in accounting or financial management. Proficiency in GAAP standards, tax regulations, and financial reporting is essential, along with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. The ideal applicant will have prior experience with ERP systems, advanced Excel skills, and familiarity with auditing processes. Excellent communication and organizational skills are required to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and present financial data clearly.
A Bachelor’s Degree in Library & Information Science or a closely related field is required.
A Master’s Degree, specifically an MLIS or a related field, will be considered a valuable asset.
Requires a minimum of five years of professional experience in archives, records management, or information governance.
Professional certification, including Certified Archivist (CA) designation, or active membership in a relevant professional organization provides an additional advantage.
