In Nigeria, Save the Children is actively working to enhance health systems and advance maternal and child health across four northern states. Significant progress is still needed for Nigeria to fulfill its commitments to Millennium Development Goals 4 and 5—aimed at reducing child mortality and improving maternal health—by 2015.

Our Work
Save the Children has been present in Nigeria since 2001. We are committed to strengthening health systems in northern Nigeria to expand access to maternal, newborn, and child health services, including revitalizing routine immunization programs.
