Coleman Technical Industries Limited (“Coleman”), established on July 1, 1975, was founded with the vision of fostering domestic industries to generate employment opportunities by producing high-quality products that adhere to international benchmarks.
The company specializes in the manufacturing of electrical wires and cables for the oil sector, as well as commercial and residential applications. Coleman offers an extensive portfolio of standard and specialized cables, renowned for their exceptional quality.
Coleman’s operations commenced in 1998 with the inauguration of its first facility at 149/151, Dim Road, Iron, Lagos, equipped to process 1,200 metric tons of copper and 800 metric tons of aluminum annually. In 2009, the company unveiled its state-of-the-art manufacturing plant in BAFO, along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, serving as the corporate headquarters. This advanced facility spans 15,000 square meters and boasts an annual processing capacity of 15,000 metric tons of copper and 18,000 metric tons of aluminum—equivalent to 50% of Nigeria’s total production capacity for house wiring, AAC, ACS, and power cables.
As a distinguished member of the Cable Manufacturers Association of Nigeria (CAYMAN), Coleman has maintained full membership since 2001 by consistently meeting stringent quality standards. The company has held Nigeria Industrial Standard (IS) and Standard Organization of Nigeria (SON) certifications since 2002, alongside ISO 9001:2008 certification. Coleman remains a proudly indigenous enterprise with a capital base exceeding N5 billion in plant, machinery, raw materials, and inventory.
