Conduct comprehensive root cause analysis to identify underlying issues associated with mechanical faults, followed by the development and recommendation of appropriate corrective measures.
Evaluate historical data and operational metrics of equipment to pinpoint opportunities for enhancement and enhance machine productivity.
Maintain precise records of maintenance activities, safety inspections, and repair documentation to ensure compliance and operational integrity.
Work collaboratively with controllers, engineers, and production teams to diagnose mechanical issues and enhance overall system performance.
Ensure unwavering adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations in all maintenance and repair activities.
Collaborate on the execution of ongoing enhancement projects specifically within the maintenance division.
Must have a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, such as Computer Science, Engineering, or Mathematics. Three years of professional experience in software development, with at least one year in a leadership or mentoring role. Proficiency in programming languages like Python, Java, or C++. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to convey complex technical concepts clearly. Experience with Agile methodologies and version control systems such as Git. Knowledge of cloud platforms like AWS or Azure is a plus.
A Bachelor of Science degree or Higher National Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or an equivalent, relevant discipline is required.
A minimum of five years of practical experience in mechanical maintenance is required, with a preference for candidates who have worked in the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) sector.
Proficiency in diagnosing and resolving mechanical, electrical, or software-related issues is essential, along with a strong aptitude for problem-solving. Experience in identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions is required. Familiarity with diagnostic tools and equipment is advantageous. Ability to analyze technical documentation and collaborate with cross-functional teams is necessary. Strong communication skills are also important to convey complex issues clearly.
