Job Summary
Our client is looking to recruit an accomplished and goal-oriented Sales Manager specializing in TILES to elevate the performance of the sales team.
The ideal candidate will spearhead revenue expansion by demonstrating exceptional leadership, executing strategic initiatives, and cultivating strong client relationships.
Oversee and execute core duties encompassing project management, team leadership, and cross-functional coordination to drive organizational objectives. Deliver strategic initiatives by analyzing performance metrics, optimizing workflows, and ensuring adherence to deadlines and budgetary constraints. Collaborate with stakeholders to align goals, mitigate risks, and foster innovation while maintaining high standards of accountability and transparency. Uphold compliance with industry regulations and company policies to safeguard operational integrity and mitigate potential liabilities.

Proficiency in the Nigerian construction materials and building products landscape is essential for this role.

Sales reporting and forecasting involve analyzing historical sales data, identifying trends, and predicting future performance to support strategic decision-making. This role requires proficiency in data analysis tools, such as Excel or advanced business intelligence software, as well as strong quantitative skills to interpret complex datasets. Key responsibilities include generating accurate sales forecasts, monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs), and presenting insights to leadership teams to guide business strategies. Candidates should have experience in sales operations, financial modeling, or related fields, along with excellent communication abilities to convey findings clearly to stakeholders.
Negotiation and persuasion skills are essential for effectively influencing stakeholders, securing favorable agreements, and advancing organizational objectives. These competencies enable professionals to articulate compelling arguments, adapt to varying perspectives, and achieve mutually beneficial outcomes through strategic dialogue and compromise. Strong negotiation abilities help navigate complex discussions, resolve conflicts, and foster productive relationships while ensuring decisions align with business goals and stakeholder interests.
Proficient in clearly articulating and explaining product features, benefits, and specifications to diverse audiences.
Responsible for organizing reporting activities and collaborating with the sales team to ensure seamless coordination.
Industry professionals with a strong understanding of dealers are preferred.
Professionally engage in industry events such as trade shows and conduct on-site inspections of project locations.
Achieve and surpass established sales quotas through strategic planning and execution.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is required, along with a minimum of five years of progressive experience in software development. Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or C++ is essential, along with expertise in database management systems like SQL or NoSQL. Strong problem-solving abilities, excellent communication skills, and the capacity to work effectively both independently and within a team are critical. Familiarity with Agile methodologies, version control systems (e.g., Git), and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) is highly desirable. Prior experience in full-stack development or DevOps practices would be advantageous.
A Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or a related field is required; a Master’s Degree is considered advantageous.
With a minimum of five to ten years of proven sales experience, you will bring a wealth of industry knowledge and a track record of success to this dynamic role. Your expertise will be instrumental in driving revenue growth, fostering client relationships, and achieving strategic sales objectives. Demonstrated proficiency in negotiating deals, closing transactions, and meeting or exceeding sales targets will be essential to your performance in this position.
Proficient in both written and oral communication, with the ability to convey ideas clearly and effectively.
Must possess a proven track record as a Sales Manager within the Tiles sector.
