As part of our growth strategy, we are seeking Field Operators to collaborate closely with our Business Support team in on-site operations. This role involves visiting estates, interacting with key decision-makers, facilitating the onboarding process, and ensuring the seamless operation of our deployed locations.
The Role
As a frontline representative of Access Gate, this role demands a proactive, community-oriented approach. You will serve as the primary liaison between the company and local stakeholders, seeking out new prospects, engaging in meaningful dialogue, fostering client relationships during onboarding, and performing operational assessments at active sites. Operating with substantial autonomy, you will drive initiatives independently, organize your workflow efficiently, and consistently achieve targets without direct oversight.
What You Will Do
With your designated territory, conduct thorough assessments and on-site visits to identified estates to gather relevant data and insights.
Facilitate interactions with gate officers, facilities managers, and key decision-makers overseeing estate operations.
Facilitate the sales journey from initial engagement to successful onboarding of clients.
Perform on-site evaluations at properties where Access Gate has been implemented.
Compile field findings, observations, and potential opportunities, then relay them to the Business Solutions Office (BSO) and operational team for review and action.
Consistently uphold UTC’s professional standards while engaging in field activities to effectively represent the organization.
What We Are Looking For
You possess an extensive understanding of Lagos, Abuja, or Port Harcourt, including familiarity with key estates, neighborhoods, and the practical dynamics of these cities.
You possess strong street smarts and emotional intelligence, enabling you to accurately assess group dynamics, adapt your communication style as needed, and establish rapport with diverse individuals in a short amount of time.
Proficient in English and at least one Nigerian language—namely, Yoruba, Igbo, or Hausa—ensuring seamless communication across all interactions.
A proactive professional who operates with autonomy: you proactively assess priorities and take decisive action without requiring external prompting.
You must demonstrate unwavering integrity and confidentiality when representing UTC in communications with estate residents, security teams, and management personnel.
Proficiency in field sales, community engagement, logistics, or customer-centric positions is highly beneficial.
Proficient in utilizing smartphones for seamless reporting, effective communication, and straightforward documentation tasks.
What You Get
Earnings are structured on a commission basis, complemented by a fixed monthly salary, with transparent performance benchmarks guiding compensation.
Join an innovative early-stage infrastructure startup in Nigeria, offering an exciting opportunity to contribute to one of the country’s most dynamic ventures.
Top candidates demonstrating exceptional performance will have the opportunity to transition directly into a permanent position.
The UTC team delivers comprehensive field support and product training services.
