Job Summary:
The Blocks Production Officer will collaborate closely with the Production Officer to manage the day-to-day operations and manufacturing workflows for the production of MSHE building blocks and related machinery. Responsibilities include coordinating production timelines, maintaining rigorous quality standards, resolving operational challenges, and contributing to continuous improvements in production efficiency.
Oversee and execute a range of critical duties to ensure operational excellence and strategic alignment. Develop, implement, and monitor initiatives that drive efficiency, innovation, and compliance with established policies and regulations. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align departmental objectives with broader organizational goals, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement. Provide leadership in project planning, resource allocation, and performance evaluation to achieve measurable outcomes. Act as a liaison between senior management and staff, facilitating clear communication and alignment on key directives. Analyze data and metrics to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement, and present actionable insights to inform decision-making. Provide assistance to the Production Officer in directing the manufacturing team and managing every facet of the production workflow.
Assist in the creation and execution of production schedules, ensuring alignment with customer needs and adherence to project timelines.
Monitor production activities to evaluate workflow efficiency, productivity levels, and quality standards, pinpointing opportunities for enhancement.
Collaborate with the team to establish and maintain quality control measures and protocols, ensuring strict adherence to product specifications.
Diagnose equipment malfunctions and coordinate with maintenance personnel to expedite resolution of technical issues.
Deliver comprehensive training and mentorship to production personnel regarding correct operational methods and adherence to safety guidelines.
Compile production data, evaluate Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and prepare detailed reports for submission to the Production Officer.
Perform regular inspections of machinery and equipment, identifying and immediately reporting any faults or irregularities.
Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including Purchasing and Inventory, to align production requirements effectively.
Suggest enhancements to existing processes and offer innovative ideas to bolster overall operational effectiveness.
Ensure adherence to all relevant safety, environmental, and regulatory standards and mandates.
Qualifications: A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, such as Computer Science, Engineering, or Information Technology, is required. A minimum of five years of professional experience in systems administration, network engineering, or a related discipline is necessary. Proficiency in scripting languages like Python, Bash, or PowerShell is highly desirable. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills are essential. Knowledge of cloud platforms, such as AWS or Azure, and familiarity with virtualization technologies are advantageous. Excellent communication skills for collaborating with cross-functional teams are also required.
A bachelor’s degree in manufacturing, industrial engineering, or a closely related discipline is required.
A minimum of two to three years of hands-on experience in block production and machinery troubleshooting is required.
Demonstrated proficiency in problem-solving, analytical reasoning, and sound decision-making is essential. The ideal candidate will possess the ability to assess complex situations, identify viable solutions, and make informed judgments under varying conditions.
To collaborate seamlessly with the production team, strong communication and interpersonal abilities are required.
Proficiency in lean manufacturing methodologies and continuous improvement frameworks is required.
Capable of efficiently managing multiple responsibilities simultaneously, organizing tasks in order of urgency, and maintaining productivity under tight deadlines and high-pressure situations.
