Butler Group is currently seeking a highly capable professional to fill the position with Sales Channel Manager in Lagos, Nigeria. The successful candidate will be tasked with fostering sustainable business expansion throughout Ghana, Liberia, Nigeria, Sierra Leone, and The Gambia by cultivating and overseeing Butler’s network of channel partners and resellers. Additionally, this role encompasses the responsibility of boosting market share while maintaining robust alignment with Butler’s regional and global strategic objectives.

To spearhead the augmentation of market share and foster profitable business growth, ensuring alignment with Butler’s overarching group and regional strategic objectives.

Identify and assess fresh business prospects, such as untapped markets, niche customer groups, and innovative distribution avenues, while strategically developing them to drive growth and expand market presence.

By enhancing Butler’s market penetration in Nigeria, the role will focus on expanding and optimizing the network of partners, resellers, and distributors.

Develop, cultivate, and expand channel partner relationships to ensure seamless onboarding, comprehensive enablement, and strict alignment with Butler’s standards and strategic goals.

Monitor partner performance and serve as the primary liaison between external partners and internal stakeholders to facilitate seamless collaboration and successful business execution.

Oversee the end-to-end sales process, beginning with lead generation and opportunity cultivation, through proposal submission, negotiation, and ultimately securing customer orders.

Maintain a transparent and precise sales pipeline by consistently updating the CRM, tracking opportunities, forecasting outcomes, and ensuring prompt follow-up on leads.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Sales Support, Technology, and Service, to spearhead project and plant sales initiatives, ensuring seamless and successful project execution.

Implement business strategies across the designated territory while partnering with regional and global teams to meet established sales and growth objectives.

You must possess the following qualifications and competencies.

Minimum of five years of experience is required in project sales and/or machine sales.

Proficiency in operating within a global or matrix organizational structure is required.

Demonstrated expertise in cultivating and overseeing relationships with channel partners or resellers is essential.

Experienced professionals with deep insight into Nigeria’s market dynamics—and broader African economic landscapes—are highly desirable for this role. Candidates should demonstrate a thorough understanding of regional trends, consumer behaviors, regulatory frameworks, and competitive forces shaping business opportunities across the continent. Prior experience navigating African markets, particularly within Nigeria, is strongly preferred.
