Job Description
Overseeing the engineering team responsible for guaranteeing that all capital projects are technically sound and fully compliant with statutory regulations.
Diagnose and resolve typical valve-related problems, including leaks, mechanical malfunctions, and signs of deterioration.
Provide assistance in disassembling and reassembling valves to facilitate part replacement, cleaning, and conditioning processes.
Assist in assessing valve functionality and confirming compliance with customer requirements.
Conduct regular testing of valves, including leak detection, pressure verification, and flow measurement to ensure operational integrity.
Provide support in the upkeep and calibration of field instruments to ensure precise process control.
Proven proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and AutoCAD/MATLAB is required. Strong technical skills in these software applications are essential for effectively performing job duties and supporting project execution.
A solid grasp of electrical codes and safety standards is essential.
Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Minimum of three years of experience in software development, specifically with Java, Python, or C++. Strong understanding of data structures and algorithms is essential. Familiarity with database management systems such as SQL and NoSQL is required. Experience with cloud platforms like AWS or Azure is a plus. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a collaborative team environment are critical. Must possess strong communication skills to convey technical information effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
A Bachelor of Science degree or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Instrumentation, Control Systems, or Process Engineering is required.
A minimum of five to seven years of hands-on experience in valve calibration, flow measurement, instrumentation, and project management within the oil and gas sector is required.
