Conduct thorough evaluations of contractor-generated electrical engineering deliverables and technical submissions to ensure compliance with established standards and specifications.
Verify the integrity and functionality of electrical installations, such as substations, transformers, switchgear, and power systems, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and safety protocols. Conduct thorough inspections, testing, and maintenance to confirm proper operation, identify potential hazards, and mitigate risks. Prepare detailed reports documenting findings, corrective actions, and recommendations for improvements. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve issues promptly and maintain uninterrupted service delivery.
Design, installation, and maintenance of distribution systems, motor control centers (MCCs), cabling infrastructure, lighting systems, earthing arrangements, and lightning protection systems.
Perform comprehensive site inspections and technical audits to verify adherence to approved drawings, specifications, and all project requirements.
Review project advancements and contribute technical expertise to the certification of contractor payments.
Evaluate potential technical risks, deviations from standards, and quality-related issues.
Craft comprehensive assurance reports and deliver actionable recommendations to stakeholders.
Requirements
A bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Power Engineering, or an equivalent field is required.
Professional registration through recognized bodies such as CORE, PE, or Cent is required.
Professional Experience Requirements:
For the Associate Level role, candidates must possess a minimum of six years of relevant experience. At the Consultant Level, applicants are required to have at least twelve years of relevant experience in industrial, oil and gas, petrochemical, refinery, fertilizer, power generation, transmission, or major infrastructure projects.
Demonstrates extensive expertise in electrical systems, encompassing high-voltage (HV), medium-voltage (MV), and low-voltage (LV) networks, substations, switchgear, transformers, protection systems, and power distribution.
Proficient in a variety of industry standards, including those established by IEC, IEEE, and NFPA.
Consulting, Owner’s Engineer, EPC/EPCM, third-party inspection, project assurance, or technical audit experience would be highly advantageous.
Preferred certifications include industry-recognized credentials such as PMP, CAP, or PRINCE2 for project management roles, AWS Certified Solutions Architect or Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert for cloud infrastructure positions, and CISSP or Compton Security+ for cybersecurity-focused responsibilities. Additionally, certifications like Scrum Master (CSM) or Product Owner (CSP) are valued for agile development and product management functions. Candidates must hold at least one relevant certification or demonstrate equivalent professional experience to meet the eligibility criteria for consideration.
PMP certification, ISO 9001 Lead Auditor credentials, BOSH qualification, membership with IEEE, and certifications in Electrical Safety and Protection & Control are required.
