Job Summary

The Inventory Officer / Cost Controller will oversee stock movements, uphold inventory precision, manage cost control measures, and ensure meticulous documentation of all inventory transactions conducted within the store.

Oversee a comprehensive range of duties including strategic planning, operational management, and team leadership to ensure organizational objectives are met efficiently. Collaborate closely with cross-functional departments to streamline processes, enhance productivity, and maintain high performance standards. Develop and implement policies, procedures, and best practices to foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement. Monitor key performance indicators, analyze data trends, and prepare detailed reports to support data-driven decision-making and strategic initiatives. Lead initiatives to optimize resource allocation, reduce operational costs, and maximize return on investment while ensuring compliance with industry regulations and company policies. Serve as a primary point of contact for stakeholders, providing clear communication, resolving escalated issues, and aligning efforts with long-term business goals.

Oversee and document inventory levels on a daily basis to ensure accurate stock monitoring and control.

Perform routine inventory audits and reconcile discrepancies to maintain accurate stock records.

Accurately document and confirm all incoming stock, transfers between locations, and outgoing stock distributions.

Examine inventory records to identify and document any variances or discrepancies, ensuring accurate reporting of findings.

Compile and maintain detailed inventory records while analyzing cost data to produce comprehensive control reports.

Maintain adherence to established inventory management procedures and internal controls to ensure operational integrity and regulatory compliance.

Partner with procurement, operations, and management groups to ensure balanced inventory levels at all times.

Candidates must meet the following criteria for consideration: a minimum of five years of experience in [relevant field], proficiency in [specific software/tools], and a bachelor’s degree in [related discipline]. Strong analytical skills and the ability to work under tight deadlines are essential. Familiarity with [industry-specific regulations or standards] and prior experience in [specific tasks or projects] are highly desirable. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities are also required to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

A bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or an equivalent discipline is required.

Demonstrated expertise in utilizing Microsoft Excel for data analysis, reporting, and spreadsheet management.

Demonstrates exceptional proficiency in analytical reasoning and numerical analysis.

Demonstrates exceptional precision and strong organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail.

Maintains an unwavering commitment to ethical standards and personal responsibility, ensuring actions align with organizational values and professional conduct.

Effective interpersonal skills and the ability to produce clear, comprehensive reports are essential.
