Job Summary
The Inventory Officer / Cost Controller will oversee stock movements, uphold inventory precision, manage cost controls, and ensure all inventory transactions are properly documented within the store.
Oversee a range of critical duties, including the management of daily operations to ensure seamless workflow, the implementation of strategic initiatives to drive organizational growth, and the supervision of team performance to maintain high productivity standards. Collaborate with cross-functional departments to align objectives and foster a cohesive working environment. Monitor key performance indicators to assess progress and identify areas for improvement, while ensuring compliance with company policies and industry regulations. Develop and execute training programs to enhance employee skills and professional development. Additionally, prepare comprehensive reports for senior leadership, detailing project statuses, financial performance, and operational challenges.
Diligently oversee and document inventory levels on a daily basis to ensure accurate stock monitoring and management.
Perform periodic inventory audits and reconcile discrepancies to maintain accurate stock records.
Record all incoming stock, confirm its accuracy, track transfers between locations, and validate issuances from inventory to ensure precise stock management and accountability throughout the supply chain.
Thoroughly examine inventory records to identify and document any variances or discrepancies, then prepare detailed reports summarizing findings for further action.
Compile detailed inventory and cost control reports providing accurate data on stock levels and associated expenditures.
Ensure adherence to established inventory management protocols and internal control frameworks.
Partner closely with procurement, operations, and leadership teams to ensure inventory levels remain balanced and efficient.
Requirements
A minimum of an OND in Accounting, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a closely related discipline is required.
Seeking candidates with 1–3 years of relevant experience in inventory management, stock control, or cost control, ideally within the Food & Beverage sector.
Demonstrates advanced skills in utilizing Microsoft Excel, including data analysis, formula creation, and spreadsheet management.
Exceptional proficiency in analytical reasoning and quantitative analysis is essential.
Proficiency in maintaining meticulous attention to detail and demonstrating strong organizational skills is essential.
Maintains the highest standards of ethical behavior and assumes full responsibility for actions and decisions.
Effective interpersonal communication and clear reporting capabilities are essential, ensuring seamless information exchange and accurate documentation.
