This position is responsible for managing sales coverage across a diverse range of Nigerian institutions, including security agencies, judicial and court systems, federal and state universities, as well as specialist government entities such as teaching hospitals, regulatory academies, and state-owned enterprises.
This territory presents significant deal complexity and extended procurement cycles, necessitating a commercially strategic executive rather than merely a relationship manager.
Responsibilities
Security Mandate: Security Agencies, Judiciary, and Public Institutions
Institutions to be targeted include the Nigeria Police Force, Department of State Services (DSS), National Intelligence Agency (NIA), and the welfare and human resources systems of the Army, Navy, and Air Force. Additional targets encompass federal and state high courts, appeal courts, and the Supreme Court, as well as federal and state universities, polytechnics, federal teaching hospitals, and specialist medical institutions.
Candidates must possess a minimum of five years of relevant experience in a comparable role, along with a bachelor’s degree in a related field. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are essential, as is proficiency in [specific software/tools relevant to the role]. Excellent written and verbal communication abilities are required to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams. Familiarity with industry standards and compliance regulations is also a must. Additionally, the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment is critical.
A degree in Marketing, complemented by an MBA with a specialization in Marketing, is required. Additionally, candidates must possess a minimum of eight years of experience in sales or commercial roles, preferably within Nigerian security agencies, the judiciary, universities, or specialized government institutions. A proven track record of successfully securing contracts exceeding 50 million with institutional leaders is essential.
Established connections with decision-makers at the IG, DG, VC, and Chief Justice levels across at least three distinct target institution categories, with engagement within the past 18 months.
Proven capability to effectively manage intricate and politically sensitive institutional procurement procedures.
Proven expertise in commercial contract structuring, with the ability to develop and justify a robust pricing framework to senior leadership and the Board.
Professional experience with government technology procurement within security or judicial domains, encompassing classified or restricted procurement procedures, is required.
