Role Summary

Perform systematic internal audits throughout all retail locations and head office functions on a recurring basis.

The incumbent will be responsible for assessing adherence to established protocols, identifying deviations, and recommending corrective actions to uphold quality and efficiency within the station’s workflow. Conduct both scheduled and unannounced audits at retail fueling locations.

Ensure accurate verification of daily sales records, cash collections, point-of-sale transactions, and bank deposit lodgements.

Reconcile fuel sales data against pump readings, tank dips, and stock records to ensure accuracy and consistency.

Maintain accurate and complete documentation for all station transactions along with their supporting records.

Examine and resolve discrepancies, shortages, and variances in sales or stock records to ensure accuracy and alignment with expected outcomes.

Conduct thorough inventory and asset verification to ensure accurate tracking and management of organizational resources. Perform detailed assessments of physical and digital assets, confirming their presence, condition, and compliance with established records. Identify discrepancies, report findings, and recommend corrective actions to maintain inventory integrity. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to reconcile data, resolve discrepancies, and implement preventive measures for continuous improvement.

Oversee and verify fuel inventory levels, including PMS, AGO, DPK, lubricants, and other related products.

Perform physical inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies with documented records to ensure accuracy.

Evaluate the condition and functionality of station assets, such as pumps, generators, meters, and other critical equipment.

Identify and document any discrepancies, unauthorized usage, or inefficiencies in asset handling to ensure accountability and safeguard organizational resources.

Requirements

Education: Applicants must possess a bachelor’s or master’s degree in a relevant field from an accredited institution. Strong academic performance, demonstrated through relevant coursework or research projects, is highly desirable.

A Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Accounting or Finance is required.
