UNICEF Nigeria is seeking a highly qualified Senior International Consultant to conduct a thorough, evidence-based Gender Equality Programmatic Review (GPR). This review will evaluate the current landscape, identify critical gaps and opportunities, and outline strategic pathways to enhance gender integration across UNICEF Nigeria’s programming and operational frameworks. The findings will play a pivotal role in shaping the development of the upcoming Country Program for the period of 2028–2032.
Key outputs will encompass a Desk Review Report, a Draft Mission Agenda, a Preliminary Findings Presentation, a Debrief Slide Deck, a draft GPR Report summarizing agreed Gender Equality Priorities, a full GPR Report, and a draft Gender Action Plan. These deliverables will shape the Strategic Moment of Reflection scheduled for early September.
Minimum qualifications for this role include a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent professional experience, along with at least three years of hands-on experience in a comparable position. Proficiency in industry-standard software and tools, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment are essential. Candidates must demonstrate excellent communication abilities, problem-solving capabilities, and a commitment to continuous learning and professional development. Additionally, familiarity with project management methodologies and relevant certifications may be required or preferred.
Education requirements include an advanced university degree, specifically a Master’s, in Gender Equality Studies, International Development, Social Sciences, Public Health, or a closely related discipline.

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), with advanced capabilities in Excel, including pivot tables, LOOKUP, and data analysis. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely. Experience with project management tools such as Asana, Trello, or Jira. Familiarity with CRM systems like Salesforce or HubSpot. Excellent organizational and time management abilities, with a track record of meeting deadlines in fast-paced environments. Capable of multitasking while maintaining attention to detail. Knowledge of data visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI is a plus.
