Position: Factory-based in Sag amu, Gun State
Job Purpose
The Logistics Manager will be responsible for directing and enhancing warehouse operations, inventory control, and both inbound and outbound logistics at our facility in Sag amu. The preferred candidate will guarantee uninterrupted supply chain processes, uphold stringent inventory precision, and guide the warehouse team toward elevated operational performance.
Oversee a comprehensive array of critical tasks, ensuring meticulous execution to support organizational objectives and promote operational excellence. Execute departmental objectives by coordinating efforts across teams, implementing strategic initiatives, and maintaining alignment with overarching company goals. Develop and refine processes to enhance productivity, streamline workflows, and elevate overall performance standards. Provide leadership in decision-making, fostering an environment of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Monitor progress through established metrics, analyzing data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas requiring intervention. Cultivate stakeholder relationships to facilitate seamless communication, mitigate risks, and drive sustainable growth. Ensure compliance with policies, regulations, and industry best practices to uphold organizational integrity.
Warehouse Operations: Responsible for managing daily warehouse functions, encompassing the receipt, storage, distribution, and shipment of both raw materials and finished products.
Inventory Control: Establish and uphold comprehensive inventory management systems to guarantee absolute precision, perform periodic stock audits, and reduce discrepancies and shrinkage.
The role involves overseeing fleet management, organizing dispatch schedules, and collaborating with third-party logistics providers to guarantee punctual deliveries for distributors and clients.
Strategically oversee warehouse layout and space utilization to enhance operational efficiency while ensuring adherence to safety protocols and maintaining a secure working environment.
Leadership responsibilities include overseeing, mentoring, and assessing warehouse personnel—including staff, supervisors, and loaders—while cultivating an environment centered on safety and responsibility.
Ensure rigorous compliance with all factory safety protocols, health mandates, and established company policies across warehouse operations.
Regular reporting responsibilities include compiling and delivering comprehensive analyses of warehouse key performance indicators, logistics expenditures, and inventory conditions to senior leadership for strategic review.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is necessary, along with a minimum of three years of experience in software development or a comparable technical role. Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or C++ is essential, along with familiarity with frameworks like Spring or Django. Strong problem-solving abilities, excellent communication skills, and a collaborative mindset are also required. Candidates must demonstrate experience with database management systems and cloud technologies.
A bachelor’s degree or HND in fields such as Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related discipline is required.
Requires a minimum of six to seven years of hands-on experience in warehouse and logistics operations, ideally within a manufacturing or large-scale production facility.
Experienced in operating Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software platforms, including SAP, Oracle, and Microsoft Dynamics.
Exceptional leadership capabilities, adeptness in resolving conflicts, and strong people management skills are essential.
The role demands strong analytical capabilities, adept problem-solving skills, and proficient time-management expertise.
Open to transferring to or living in Sag amu, where accommodation at the factory site is provided.
