This is a full-time, on-site position for a Dispatch Rider in Lagos. The role requires the rider to collect and deliver items to customers and company sites, adhering to designated routes and timelines. Responsibilities include documenting deliveries accurately, securing required signatures, and delivering real-time updates to the dispatch or operations team. The Dispatch Rider must maintain the motorcycle’s operational readiness by performing routine inspections, reporting any malfunctions, and scheduling maintenance as needed. Additionally, the rider is expected to uphold traffic laws, follow all company safety protocols, and embody the professional standards of J-Six Group when engaging with customers and team members.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is required. Minimum of three years of professional experience in software development is necessary. Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or C++ is expected. Experience with full-stack development, including front-end and back-end technologies, is advantageous. Strong problem-solving abilities and excellent communication skills are essential. Familiarity with Agile methodologies and version control systems, such as Git, is preferred. Knowledge of databases and SQL is also required.
A minimum of one year of hands-on experience in the capacity of a Dispatch Rider is required.
Possesses a comprehensive understanding of the Ajegunle-Papa road network, including its layout, key intersections, and traffic patterns, ensuring efficient navigation in the region.
Holders a valid driver’s license are required for this position.
