Job Summary
We are in search of a dependable and safety-focused Driver with a strong background in transportation to meet the operational demands of our automotive manufacturing business. The chosen individual will be tasked with securely transporting staff, essential documents, supplies, and company vehicles while strictly adhering to traffic safety standards and internal company protocols.
Oversee and implement core operational duties to ensure organizational efficiency and adherence to strategic objectives. Develop, monitor, and refine business processes to enhance productivity and drive continuous improvement. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align departmental goals with broader company initiatives. Prepare detailed reports and presentations to communicate performance metrics, progress updates, and actionable insights to senior leadership. Lead project planning, execution, and evaluation to meet deadlines and deliver measurable results. Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and collaboration while ensuring compliance with industry standards and company policies. Manage stakeholder relationships to facilitate seamless communication and resolve conflicts effectively.
Professionally transport staff, visitors, materials, and documents to designated locations using company vehicles while ensuring adherence to all safety protocols and regulations.
Guarantee punctual collection and delivery of passengers as well as shipments.
Perform comprehensive vehicle inspections on a daily basis to verify that all vehicles remain in optimal operational condition.
Promptly report any vehicle faults, accidents, or maintenance needs as they arise.
Responsibilities include ensuring meticulous maintenance of vehicle logbooks, mileage logs, and fuel consumption records to uphold precision and accountability in fleet documentation.
Maintain vehicles in a consistently clean and well-maintained condition at all times.
Consistently uphold traffic laws, road safety regulations, and all company-mandated driving policies without exception.
Provide support for vehicle registration, licensing processes, and the management of routine servicing schedules.
Provide assistance with logistics and administrative functions as needed.
Uphold a high standard of professionalism, ensure strict confidentiality, and consistently demonstrate courteous behavior in all responsibilities.
Seeking a highly motivated professional with a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, along with a minimum of three years of relevant experience in software development. Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or C++ is essential, as is experience with software design and architecture. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or within a team are required. Excellent communication skills and the capacity to adapt to evolving technologies and methodologies are also necessary. A commitment to continuous learning and professional development is expected.
Candidates must possess a minimum of SSC, WAEC, NECK, GCE, or an equivalent qualification.
A current, unrestricted Nigerian Driver’s License and an impeccable driving history are required.
A minimum of three years of demonstrated driving experience, ideally within a corporate or manufacturing setting, is required.
Possesses a comprehensive understanding of traffic legislation and road safety protocols, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
Proficient in executing essential vehicle maintenance inspections to ensure optimal performance and safety.
Demonstrates a steadfast commitment to accountability, ethical conduct, and workplace professionalism.
Effective communication abilities and strong interpersonal competencies are essential.
Must demonstrate adaptability to adjust working hours as needed to fulfill job responsibilities.
Expertise in both local and interstate transportation networks is highly beneficial.
