Facilitate the execution of infrastructure initiatives throughout the organization, encompassing the construction and rehabilitation of permanent residences.
Contribute to the execution of field evaluations, site assessments, and viability analyses in support of infrastructure projects within designated areas.
Assist in compiling material requisitions, validate technical specifications, and ensure the quality of goods and services provided by contractors and vendors.
Support the creation of preliminary technical designs, dimensional specifications, bills of quantities (Boys), and conceptual sketches for upcoming infrastructure projects.
Perform fundamental topographical measurements, execute setting-out activities, and establish site boundaries to facilitate the execution of construction works.
Monitor all site-level activities to verify adherence to approved designs, safety protocols, regulatory requirements, Sphere standards, and established quality benchmarks.
Facilitate community engagement initiatives tied to infrastructure projects, encompassing mobilization efforts, awareness campaigns, and the systematic collection of feedback.
Collaborate with field operations teams and community representatives to align efforts, enhance efficiency, and uphold safety standards in service delivery.
Prepare daily status updates and assist with the preparation of weekly and monthly reports in accordance with the established formatting guidelines.
Promptly communicate any modifications, deviations, or potential risks encountered during the implementation phase to supervisors without delay.
Execute any additional duties pertinent to the role as assigned by supervisory staff within the integrated team.
Key Competencies
A university degree or diploma in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Architecture, Public Health, or a closely related field is required.
A university degree requires a minimum of two years, while a diploma necessitates four years of study.
Proficiency in infrastructure-related tasks within Shelter and WASH initiatives is considered a valuable asset.
Experience in collaborating with displaced populations, community frameworks, and field-based operational teams is preferred.
Ability to consistently uphold ethical standards while executing assigned duties with precision and accountability is required.
Engineering expertise combined with strong site monitoring capabilities is essential.
Exceptional ability to coordinate effectively and communicate clearly with multidisciplinary teams to foster seamless collaboration.
Proficient in interpreting and generating technical drawings with appropriate software tools, as well as compiling and analyzing Bills of Quantities (Boys).
Proficiency in information technology, particularly with Microsoft Office applications and mobile data collection tools, is essential.
