The Machinery Maintenance Officer is tasked with maintaining the optimal functionality, upkeep, and repair of all machinery and equipment at MSHE Blocks and Machinery. The position is centered on reducing downtime, enhancing equipment dependability, and adhering to safety and operational protocols.
Key Responsibility:
Responsible for directing and performing maintenance and repair activities for all machinery and other equipment at multiple locations.
To establish and execute a thorough maintenance plan aimed at sustaining optimal operational performance of machinery.
Conduct systematic inspections to proactively detect potential issues and mitigate the risk of system failures.
Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and operational machinery issues with efficiency to ensure minimal downtime.
Oversee the comprehensive troubleshooting process for all significant repairs, coordinating with technicians when necessary.
Coordinate external repairs and engage vendor services as needed.
Responsible for overseeing the inventory of spare parts, tools, and maintenance supplies to guarantee their availability for repair operations.
Collaborate effectively with the procurement team to ensure accurate ordering and consistent maintenance of optimal inventory levels for machine components.
Maintain comprehensive maintenance logs and records for all machinery, ensuring thorough documentation of repairs conducted, service schedules adhered to, and parts replaced during each intervention.
Regularly generate and submit detailed reports summarizing equipment performance, highlighting recurring issues and downtime statistics.
Develop and submit budget proposals to address maintenance requirements and procure essential spare parts.
Train machine operators and production staff on basic troubleshooting, operational best practices, and preventive maintenance.
Oversee junior maintenance personnel while providing direction, ensuring strict adherence to established safety protocols.
Ensure all maintenance operations adhere strictly to regulatory requirements and established safety protocols within the industry.
Enforce and uphold stringent safety standards throughout all machine operation, repair, and maintenance procedures.
Perform comprehensive safety inspections to verify that all machinery is functioning within established safe operating parameters.
Evaluate potential avenues to optimize equipment performance and prolong the operational lifespan of machinery.
Suggest modifications or enhancements to machinery to enhance production efficiency or lower maintenance expenditures.
