We are in search of a dedicated and enthusiastic CRS & History Teacher for our secondary school faculty, with a strong commitment to student-centered education. The ideal candidate will design and instruct dynamic lessons in Christian Religious Studies (CRS) and History, fostering both academic excellence and the holistic growth of students, including their moral and character development.

Oversee and execute a comprehensive range of critical duties, including the management and coordination of projects from initial planning to final delivery, ensuring adherence to established timelines and budgets. Serve as a primary point of contact for stakeholders, fostering clear and consistent communication to align expectations and resolve any potential issues promptly. Develop and implement strategic initiatives aimed at enhancing operational efficiency, optimizing resource allocation, and driving continuous improvement across all processes. Conduct thorough evaluations of team performance, providing constructive feedback and mentorship to support professional growth and development. Maintain rigorous compliance with industry regulations, organizational policies, and quality standards to mitigate risks and uphold accountability.

Facilitate classroom instruction and subject delivery in alignment with established teaching frameworks, approved lesson plans, and institutional policies.

Deliver dynamic and student-focused instruction in Christian Religious Studies (CRS) and History, employing methodologies that foster engagement and active learning.

Develop comprehensive lesson notes, assignments, projects, class activities, tests, and examination materials, ensuring full alignment with established curriculum standards.

Monitor students’ academic advancements closely and evaluate the efficacy and thoroughness of instructional strategies and lesson plans, offering constructive feedback as needed.

Identify students who require specialized learning accommodations and collaborate closely with the Remedial Teacher to design and implement tailored support plans.

Maintain classroom discipline by enforcing approved sanctions for minor infractions and immediately reporting significant disciplinary issues to the Sectional Head.

Deliver holistic pastoral care while fostering the academic, moral, emotional, and social growth of students.

Accurately and promptly evaluate students’ assignments, tests, projects, and examinations.

Continuously track and provide detailed reports on students’ academic progress, behavior, and accomplishments.

Foster and sustain clear, constructive communication with parents or guardians to discuss students’ progress and well-being as needed.

Foster an environment where students embrace positive values, demonstrate ethical conduct, lead by example, and engage in responsible citizenship.

Participate actively in fostering teamwork, collaboration, and a nurturing school atmosphere to enhance collective success and student well-being.

Engage proactively in staff meetings, school events, professional development sessions, and extracurricular initiatives to foster collaboration and enhance institutional participation.

Requirements

A bachelor’s degree in Christian Religious Studies, History, Religious Studies, Education Arts, or a closely related field is required.

TCRN certification is a mandatory qualification for candidates seeking this role, demonstrating compliance with professional standards set forth by the relevant regulatory body.

A minimum of four years of secondary school teaching experience is required.

A thorough understanding of the CRS and History curriculum standards is required.

Experienced in maintaining an organized and disciplined classroom environment while effectively conveying ideas and expectations to students.

Capable of fostering both academic excellence and moral development among students.
